What would be difficult to remember, laterā what would feel nearly impossible to believe, given the predicament he would later find himself in ā was that Jack had never intended to like Michael Robinavitch in the first place.
Hello my ultratalented friend wrote a western rabbot fic and I have the unbelievable privilege of drawing for it. Please treat yourself to this marvelous experience.

Werewolf clichƩs, or lycantropes
hard of hearing jack abbot, who lost most of it along with his leg, and remembers waking up in that hospital hearing only a deafening, accusing ring that eventually subsided into muffled silence.
jack, who manages well enough with hearing aids in the ED, but rips them off the moment heās off shift, his nervous system never quite relearning to regulate with all the noise, noise, noise.
jack, who never learned sign language, refusing out of stubbornness and pride and avoidance, who figures the aids are good enough for work, and thereās no one in his life, at home, to communicate with anyway.
jack, who presses the scanner to his ear, because as much as he craves the quiet, itās fucking lonely, and the sounds and vibrations are enough to chase those thoughts away, even if for a moment.
and then robby. robby, whoās picked up a bit of ASL in the ED; who, while this thing between them is still new and delicate, starts taking online classes on his days off. robby, who wants jack to feel comfortable not wearing his aids around him, whoās not sure how to broach such a sensitive subject, but gets caught when a young deaf patient tries to continue their conversation during hand-off. robby, who avoids jackās piercing stare all the way out of the ED. robby, who wakes up to jack at his doorstep, starts apologizing, only for jack to grab his wrists and look him in the eyes and say no, mike, iām not mad. would you teach me?
jack, and robby, who lie tangled, sweat cooling, robby slowly signing letters and words while jack reads his kiss-swollen lips.
jack and robby, pressed together in the silent dark, hands touching, jackās hesitantly forming a three-pronged sign robby hasnāt taught him yet, because this thing is still delicate and new. robbyās heart skipping a beat as he pulls jack closer and presses smiling lips to his temple, moving: i love you, too.
*yana voice* very sad

Wow havenāt been on here in ages but have gotten so into The Pitt and since I think it might be the most stealthy culturally Jewish representation on tv right now this might be the best forum to share these thoughts.
Iāve seen a lot of discussion about Langdon and Robbyās lack of forgiveness. And Robby we know may not be particularly observant but he is very culturally Jewish and also attends synagogue on the High Holy Days, and the concept I am about to talk about here is ever present during the High Holy Days. What I think what non-Jewish viewers may be missing is that Robby is not just looking for an apology, heās expecting Teshuva from Langdon who hurt him as a friend and betrayed him as a colleague.
Teshuva for those who donāt know is explained here. In Jewish culture, saying sorry to someone isnāt enough. There are multiple steps, and actions have to be taken to that mend the damage (not unlike 12 steps), an acknowledgment of the harm done and the persistence to never do it again, and only the person harmed can give forgiveness. Even if it takes several attempts, itās on the person harmedās timeline when and if they give forgiveness. And a true, genuine attempt (sometimes several) must be made. Langdon has only done part 1. Rehab alone isnāt enough. Saying āI fucked upā while a start, isnāt enough. Itās demonstrating in action and slowly rebuilding that trust and Robby gets to set the parameters. Itās not on anyone else to rush Robbyās process or demand he just accept it. I donāt mind Dana calling him out for holding Langdon to impossible standards professionally, but Robby gets to decide his level of comfort being around him. Langdon is the one who needs to make amends. And even if every other person forgives him, that doesnāt mean Robby is ready, willing, or obligated to.
Letās not forget their last conversation and how instead of taking Robbyās offer despite his anger, threw in his face the fact that he had a PTSD episode and belittled him for it.
So while Robby is not particularly religious, I do think the teshuva concept is something embedded in Jewish culture and a core value that Robby likely believes in. And honestly Langdon should have learned this in rehab that itās not up to him how and when they can continue. And frankly, heās lucky he still has a job.

Hiyaa. 11, 22, 33, 44 for snape asks game plz
11. Your favourite scenes with book/movie!Snape?
Gah I canāt pick one. Aesthetically I think Alan was most on fire in his DH1 scene, mostly for the fluffy hair. In the books, the occlumency scenes are just brilliant, and we canāt forget the excellent Goblet of Fire pyjama party which we were robbed of in the films. In my fic, I love all the scenes but if I had to pick one itād probably be him saving Abbie when she gets sectumsempraād.
22. Do you think Lily was a good friend to Severus?
Itās hard to tell, because we donāt see much of the day-to-day of their friendship - we see it bloom, then we pretty much jump to the end. But Iād say she was, because she saw good in him, she liked him, and they were friends for a whole five years before it broke down. We also know she defended him to her friends, so that shows she must have been a good friend, and although she fucked up by laughing at his sexual assault, he fucked up too and overall they were, until the end, good friends.
33. Top 3 songs you think will show up in Snape's most played?
Iām not sure about specific songs but I think he would like classical music and the Beatles.
44. What mode of magical travel would suit Snape the best?
Jkr got very little right (she thinks he died? What a bizarre interpretation) but she did get right the fact that he flies unaided, and he looks like a bat when he does it. It is so very much on point for him. Imagine if heād been able to do it earlier and heād just swooped down on misbehaving kids?
