sometimes i don’t draw because i can’t draw moody, atmospheric stuff. So I have to remind myself sometimes that I can draw fun comicky stuff and that’s just as good.

Have you personally been to Ekuk?
yes, I worked there last summer. Those photographs were taken by me.
an OC of mine, Jack, who appears in an as of yet untitled story featuring the paranormal misadventures of jaded young PI Corrigan Malone. Jack is a ghoul (mistakenly dispatched by a reaper and allowed to go back to life, albeit one filled with ghosts and other weird stuff), a bartender, and the lead singer in an aging punk band. He was inspired by Brendan Kelly (of The Lawrence Arms), but is not nearly as well spoken or as free with the dick jokes.
this is the first bit of art I've done for myself in a while.

I'm sure you get this a lot but I just have to tell you this. That Chuck Ragan art made my day! It's absolutely wonderful!

Patience marry me-- Some day, somewhere, we could be happy. I know the past ain't clean but time as my witness, one day, I'll be;
I'll hang the moon and all the stars String a path that leads to your front yard So light always shines to where you are Patience, marry me.

Check out: Cow Bella Gelato to read the copy I wrote for the site! And if you live in the St. Paul area, stop in the shop and check out the wicked lettering mural my co-worker Kyle is putting up on the blackboard wall! (I plied my trade on the smaller chalkboard sign that sits out on the sidewalk).

I like to keep my resolutions manageable.

I designed the labels on the beer taps and the pint glass for the cover of Umbrella Bed's new album. The beer taps were based on their previous album releases and can be seen in raw design form here: x

Perks of where I work: Re-doing the chalkboard sign after it rained! This is the first time I tried something like this.

character by Natasha Allegri~
"Below the baseboards comes a scream from the gallows/ It flickers on the wall the tall shadow from Saint-Malo." -Jay Malinowski + The Deadcoast
Saint-Malo is a walled port town on the north coast of France that was once a notorious shipping off point for privateers and pirates. This character was inspired by the song and by Corto Maltese, one of my favorite comic book heroes.
