So stressed I can't tell that I'm stressed

I was so convinced that I have been having hormone issues.... but I got an enhanced hormone blood panel done this past week and everything is normal.

So I've concluded that I'm just incredibly stressed and have done a horrible job realizing how stressed I actually am. There's been so many crappy things happen over the past couple months. Family members that have passed away, taking my dog to the ER, getting into arguments with my husband, and feeling trapped because we can't travel anywhere (due to husband being in the military and totally restricted).....I just wish I felt like there was light at the end of the tunnel soon.

Spending tonight alone with my pup and some wine plus movies. Hubs is on the overnight shift this month, so he's making sure no jets crash into Santa tonight!

Officially a HOMEOWNER!

Our last Christmas tree in the rental house. So bittersweet to say goodbye to it after December, but so excited to begin the new adventure as home owners!

My husband and I celebrated our second wedding anniversary last week. We had really hoped to get away for the weekend to Leavenworth, but the military won't let him do pretty much anything right now with covid cases getting bad again, and our dog just recovered from a bout of idiopathic vestibular disease, so we stayed put at home and celebrated by making a nice homemade dinner. Hubs got me these beautiful flowers too 😍 to brighten my day a little. Can't wait to be able to travel more again.

To say I'm excited by the election outcome would be an understatement.

Thank goodness we will be getting decency and integrity back in the White House. Not to mention our first female VP. Truly a historical day today.

We applied to be pre-approved for a home loan yesterday

Yeah.... that happened. Can't believe it. Feels like the ultimate in adulting. Excited to begin house hunting, but also a little stressed. Everything is so expensive in the PNW and it feels like timing is key. But the market just doesn't seem like it's going to get any more in our favor than it is now.

What an odd feeling weekend. Still reeling from the loss of RBG last night and the continual realization of what spineless assholes we have running the country.

Feeling thankful for the doors that women like her have opened for all of us to walk through. I see the effects of female leadership all the time in my own work, and it has made such a world of difference in my career and my opportunities. ❤

Work is giving me such heartburn this week. So stressed lately with too many big projects to juggle. September better slow down a little... at the very least, I'm so thankful to have some paid time off scheduled.

Just, ugh... Mondays

I've been kicking ass working from home and have taken on all kinds of extra responsibility lately, which is cool. But man, I just don't want to do it this week. I took a look at my calendar and all of the meetings and I just don't want to deal with people. Wish that I could just get a week to plug away and get things actually done. Trying to make sure I keep boundaries for my personal life and sanity as well.

My poor pup got a nose burn on our wooden fence the other day. The neighbor dog started antagonizing him and he totally took the bait....a few minutes later and this is the result. Thankfully it was just oozy and not dripping. He gets to have some neosporin the next couple days until it heals.

My best friend had to put her 17 year old dog to sleep over the weekend....I just can't imagine. So I smothered this guy all weekend. ❤🥺

I've started getting fresh flowers every week from a local farm up the road from our house. Seriously, the little things are keeping me sane right now. I need the brightness 100%.
