No, all lives DON'T matter - or at least not to the same extent.
Doesnât a fatherâs life matter more than that of a childless man?
Doesnât an innocent manâs life matter more than that of a criminal?
Doesnât an employed manâs life matter more than that of an unemployed man?
If one is on government welfare or disability, is his life not worth less than that of a working, healthy man?
And most people have agreed that the lives of young men are expendable at war. The lives of the unborn are so worthless, that they are worth more parted out.
So can you really look me in the eye, in 2015, and suggest that all lives are really equal? Surely, some lives are valued more than others.
First of all, to answer your question, no. The former groups of people do not matter more than the latter. The young men involved in wars are there voluntarily, so that a greater number of lives can be saved. And the unborn matter only as much as the person carrying them determines.
That said, I notice you only mention men. Itâs pretty obvious why. In social conservativesâ minds (or lack thereof) even the most worthless man matters more than women. Thatâs why youâre fine with us as walking incubators.
>In social conservativesâ minds (or lack thereof) even the most worthless man matters more than women
oh I would love to see you back that up
also I love the irony, you assumed he/she was misogynist just because he made a post directed at men
we value menâs lives and rights less than womenâs, its why men get longer sentences and protect women more
Men get longer sentences because we are more likely to commit the kinds of crimes (violent crimes) that generally beget longer sentences.
We protect women more because of our own hormonal stupidity. Thatâs all it is. Donât flatter yourself. Weâre no different from lions protecting lionesses.
@taylorswiftville: I didnât mean to leave women out, now that you mention it. I just didnât even think of them while writing this post. Sorry to disappoint. I canât resolve your little catfight with @queen-remilia. This post was not âdirected at menâ â itâs directed at anyone who reads it.
but we will also get a longer sentence for the exact same crime
