honestly lil gaybies don’t know shit about our history and that’s where we get shit like “aids was 30 years ago it doesn’t matter” and on some level this isn’t their fault because our history is erased and hidden and nobody wants to talk about it because the str8s don’t want to admit they were killing us because then how could they sell us rainbow everything? 

but listen. aids matters because we lost a generation and the str8s trampled our bodies in the streets and laughed at us. we still have a right to rage and a right to mourn our dead. and young gays need to know what we’ve had to endure. we musn’t forget the elders we were never allowed to know. 

honestly I’m livid that such a terrible and important part of our history is erased and swept under the rug. I am viscerally angry about this, to the point where I am struggling to put words together. we must never stop talking about it. We must never forget. we must not let them forget what they did to us.
