Serena Williams Wimbledon

I find it interesting how some people are responding to Serena’s loss to Kerber. Serena has won 23 grand slams and has dominated the sport for the past 20+ years. But apparently this loss marks “the end to her reign.” Like really? She gave birth just 10 months ago and had serious complications that almost cost her her life. People should be in awe of her accomplishments and her ability to make it to this Wimbledon final. She’s not even at 50%. She’s nowhere near the shape she was before. Her reign is far from over. And it’s really disheartening to see how much racism she has to deal with. Because everyone and their mama knows that if Serena was white, all these people would be talking about how incredible she is to be able to have made it this far this quick. What a phenomenal woman. She is the greatest athlete of all time and no one can take that away from her. I can’t wait to see her reach #24 and beyond.
