Trying to Explain The Magnus Archives to My Sister

So, last night, I was explaining the Magnus archives to my sister, and mentioned that the not-them (which she knew about because it gave me fear insomnia) had died.

She asked how, and I responded with, "Jon told the Ceaseless Watcher he didn't like the not-them anymore, so the Ceaseless Watcher fried it. Jon is basically the Beholding's special, precious boy."

Here's some Terrik in gowns. I've recently made it canonical that he wears eyeshadow and lipstick a lot, I haven't had a chance to draw him in a dress in the comic yet, but in most if my drawings he's often wearing fish nets, crop tops, and very feminine shorts. I also gave him a magical girl dress one time but it was on paper and I can't find it right now.

Hi, I like asking you all questions about tma, so here's more.

Which avatar or monster is you favorite? And which one or two are the most scary to you?

For me, my favorite avatar/monster is Michael and Helen, they're fun vibes and usually friendly when not planning to kill you.

And the two I fear most are the not-them because it can either kill and replace you, or replace someone you know and can choose to attack you at any moment and no one else knows nor will believe you.

The second is the one from the episode with the blanket, because it proves the natural instinct to hide under the blanket useless against it.

Fond Thoughts

The Magnus Archives and the She-Ra reboot are two very different shows. But the one thing they have in common is that in season five we finally get the gay couple we've been shipping all series.

I love both of these shows very much.

Cheth's true, Whole Healthy form is a giant bonefish, right? If so, I'm just confused about one thing: as early as the prologue, we see these disembodied eyes for Cheth. These seem to be part of his true form, as this clearly isn't "wearing souls as clothing," just as the red veins are indicated to be part of his true form. So my question is: ...why are those disembodied eyes so HUMANOID? They certainly don't look like fish eyes.

Quick answer: Because I like it and it's fun.

Long answer: Cheth can do weird magical illusion stuff with his powers/veins to some degree. Like when he changed the painting in Phaedra's quarters. How did he do that? Did he paint it over with haunted water? Maybe? Probably. It's also because I like the idea of it and it's fun. He's also still quite attached to his human forms, so there's no reason why he would restrict himself to bonefish eyes. And his bonefish form had these big purple eye fans anyway. So the purple eyeshadow is a nice proxy.

Just Talking about Magnus Archives

What is your favorite Magnus Entity and which one scares you the most? Why?

For me personally, my favorite is the Spiral because it's just a very fun vibe when it's not trying to kill you. The sound affects for the spiral are also very fun.

The one I fear most though is the Stranger, mostly because of the not-them. The idea that something malicious has taken the identity of someone around you, and can decide to attack you at any moment, all while no one will believe you or help you.
