I don't shit all over TOS despite it not being my favorite because despite it being a problematic mess at times, I respect that it gave us all the trek we have now. DISCO did the same for modern trek too.

I made a joke under a comedy video about Issac Higgentoot's (famously gay to everyone but himself) wife perhaps finding a female lover after he died under a stanzi potenza skit where one woman is in a similar situation to Higgentoot's wife (she's such a non character I can't be bothered to look up her name) so fuck on Facebook took umbridge with my joke and decided to um actually me. And this speaks to a larger issue I have with the shows fans, particularly on Facebook. Why is everyone so fucking mean? Like clearly the comment "this is how I imagine" means I know there's no basis for it in the show. It's a joke have some humor in your life. Some fucking whimsy. Jesus. Obviously I was swearing but I'm just kind of sick and tired of everyone needing to be "the most correct" all the fucking time. Obviously during the 1700s it was survival for women to marry, even if the man they got wasn't super into them. But this is also a FUCKING COMEDY about a modern woman who gets hit on the head and sees dead people now. Like we aren't really grounded in reality Karen. Ugh. I hate the internet sometimes
