A setting intro for a modern mystery.

I POSTED MY FIRST TTRPG ZINE!

It is a recap of a missing persons case in the style of a paranormal article or podcast. It’s meant to be diegetic so the idea is that your players would be listening or reading this on their way to investigate this area. You could even hand this directly to them and have them keep it for evidence. I image it would work best for a modern Monster of the Week or similar setting. It was made for the Tiny Worlds TTRPG Jam.

I'm very proud of it and so excited to finally have something real released. I'd be so grateful if you could take a minute to check it out! I'm going to make some edits to the printable zine to make the text just a bit bigger, but I have a few other projects to work on before I can get to that.

Tik tok is “back” ….

I won’t be going back. Tik tok is dead. I hope other creators choose to also stay off it, but I understand why they wouldn’t. This feels like a stunt to put trump in a positive light or at least utilized to try and paint that hes a savior. Tik Tok being down didn’t even last 24 hours. There is ZERO chance that trump called them up this morning and said actually go ahead and put it back up! Even if by some crazy chance that is what happened- tik tok is still banned!!!! You can’t even download it in the apple App Store still. Trump just isn’t enforcing the law. That means Tik tok won’t get punished for operating in the USA but the law is still there. That means he can enforce it at any point. Someone posts something he doesn’t like? Boom it’s down. CEO doesn’t do something for him? Boom it’s down. They will now have to go out of their way to keep him happy while this law is still in place. I think I’m the USA we should all treat it like tik tok is still down. It hurts me that an app who’s given so many people a space and community, where we learned more then we did anywhere else, was taken and weaponized to put trump in a positive view. That’s insane.

Brewing a pot of tea? Potion of warmth and comfort, plus infinite possibilities for intent and purpose.

Enjoying a cool breeze? Grounding and cleansing ritual.

Washing your dishes? Cleansing and protection for future meals and those who will eating those meals.

You don’t have to go out of your way to cast spells or create magic rituals. Think about what you do in a day: What mundane task could you turn into a spell?

This years goal is getting over my posting anxiety ✨🦇

My "biggest" (still very small) platform for my witchcraft/business was tik tok and even there I barely posted out of self consciousness and insecurity. I have an immense anxiety about making videos and posting in general. It mainly comes from being a plus size woman who is very insecure. At least posting photos feels more conformable because i can pose to look "better" but videos are a whole beast of their own. I've been trying to get over this hurdle for years at this point. My goal this year is to really try and post more on social media and finally get over this anxiety. Both for myself and for my business.

I started posting every once and awhile on tumblr last year (mainly on my business page @thespectralcottage ). But, with the tik tok ban happening i really felt the push to start a youtube. I created the channel back in june, but just now started posting witchy "shorts" on it. I do plan on also making long form content. But i feel like im jumping into the deep end. I really dont want to feel like im screaming in a void where no one even glances. If youre interested in witchcraft content you can subscribe to me here. no pressure. Even if you dont-If theres any witchcraft content you'd like to see more of on youtube, maybe drop it in the comments? i'd love some ideas of what other people actually want to see.
