The situation in Gaza is extremely tragic; donāt forget Gaza.
Unfortunately, my family was torn apart after my father died, my mother fell into a coma, and now my little siblings are on the streets.
My dream is to receive treatment and evacuate them to a safe place. Please donate, even a small amount, and share. Donāt let us down.

we really canāt overstate how damaging it has been to indoctrinate the public with the idea that if they let themselves eat as much as they want, theyāll eat too much. human bodies, when permitted over the long term to eat as much as they want, actually get really, really good at calibrating their hunger and satiety, and will over time eat exactly the right amount for themselves. the common conception of a balanced eater as a minimal or restrained eater is absolutely wrong. balanced eaters eat quite a lot (compared to diet cultural ideas about right intake amounts), and they do so consistently and permanently. healthy, balanced eating isnāt some tightrope walk, itās a gigantic net of total permission to eat.

from this twitter post, tomato soup (mangaka for jaadugar: a witch in mongolia) had made a doujin that was called "The Ark Departs From Palestine" ę¹čćÆćć¬ć¹ćććēŗć¤(ćć¤)
the story is set around two shia muslims (who are from the order of assassins) sent to assassinate conrad, the king of jerusaleum. the time period was set during the crusades. proceeds of this doujin were sent towards the UNHCR
you can purchase the doujin here.
Yāall.
To my utter surprise and joy, i have reached 1000 followers.
What the fuck yāall? I fucking love you guys.

Anyway. I feel I should commemorate it or something. So.
I shall do a give-away!
Who wants a free quilt?!
Everyone. Everyone wants a free quilt.
I am even gonna pay shipping (yes even to the states) for you. This will be 100% free to you, you will not have to pay a dime.
How do you enter?
Everyone who reblogs this post will get one entry into the draw.
(Multiple reblogs is still only one entry, sorry š)
You donāt even have to be following me.
On August 20, 2026 I will turn off reblogs and put everyoneās names into the draw to pick someone. Iāll DM whoever gets drawn for option selection and shipping details.
Once thatās happened, I will turn the reblogs back on (just so people can keep sharing) and post the winnerās tumblr. If the winner doesnāt want to be perceived, I can just post which quilt was picked.
If, for some reason, I cannot get a hold of the winner after 24 hours, or they decide they donāt want it after all, I will do a second draw and try to contact that person.
Since everyone has a different tastes, Iāve decided to offer up a choice of quilts for the winner to pick from.
Option 1 is a 77āx103ā queen size quilt made with a bright floral on a pastel dot background. It also has a soft and thick backing, making the quilt heavy and warm.
Option 2 is a 74āx94ā skinny queen quilt in dramatic halloween colours and sugar skulls. The vibrant purple backing is beautiful!
Option 3 is a 89āx89ā queen size rainbow stars on black background with a gorgeous teal backing. One of my favourites of all time, honestly.
Option 4 is a 84āx100ā queen size space themed quilt with a royal blue backing and gold quilting.
Option 5 is a 85āx92ā queen size red and gold chandelier quilt with a fun dark red/orange/pink backing.
Good luck everyone!

"EverythingGirl.com Archive" is a personal project of mine that attempts to reconstruct the whole website, and fix/replace any broken/missing assets. I'm excited to finally show this to the public! But keep in mind the website's still a work in progress, so a lot of clickable links lead to nothing:

The mythical disabled person who is so disabled that everyone consistently supports and accommodates them without question is a straw man which only exists as a hypothetical for the political purpose of denying real disabled people care while still being able to argue that said care would be accessible to disabled people who "actually deserves it"
What do historians mean when they say "archive"? One archivist makes the case for a more precise use of the word.
It is a shame to fight over terminology, especially when there is a perfectly accurate and precise term that could be used: personal collections. Not only is āpersonal collectionsā more accurate, in my experience it also draws studentsā attention to a number of questions that they donāt ask about the term āarchive.ā When I discuss personal or special collections with students, they begin asking questions that āarchiveā does not inspire, such as: Collected by whom? Collected why? For what purpose? These are the questions we are trying to teach as historians.
As many historians currently use the word āarchives,ā they seem to imply that an archive is the natural state in which primary sources arrange themselves after being discarded or left by their creators. It creates the false impression that there is little to no work that goes into making primary sources available to researchers, andāmore dangerouslyāthat archives are even a neutral or unmoderated space. When archives and the historical record are used interchangeably in this way, we are unable to see what might be missing.

That's how you show real solidarity!
"After they overheard that ICE was at the courthouse to arrest someone, they improperly accessed court databases to determine who was not born in the United States," a DOJ detention filing says. "They then snuck every suspected illegal alien who was at the courthouse out a back door, where ICE, who was waiting in the parking lot for their target to leave the building, could not see them."
