A follow up sketches of young!frigga in return, and they're EVERYTHING to me currently so best behave everyone. YES. I'm a frigga!yume, and yes I absolutely self insert myself into the god, Óðr (or odr) for the sake of it, cuz that's my wife idk abt y'all.
At this point I'm just writing this for my own reference so I know what to do in the future for them both, because I ridiculously treat odr as my oc (and in some complicated way, he's technically me since he's like,,,my yume) god it's getting confusing even for me.
okay it absolutely started when I rewatched all the marvel movies in chronological order (because people keep saying that I have to in order to experience the next doomsday movie in like the optimum enjoyment,,whatever) then I got myself inside the thor series of movies.
I half expected myself to be more focused into the character loki because I've been liking him as a character for years now, even back then when my last rewatch was years ago with my brain non developed enough. OHHHH I DID NOT EVER REMEMBER FRIGGA BEING THAT HOT?? every time she's on the screen my eyes wander, and every time she talks I pause the screen like an idiot. I was completely struck.
-> so here's some stuff abt Óðr (odr) who I basically snatched from the mythology to act as my vessel
- Considering how Frigga(Marvel) was inspired by both the goddesses Freyja and Frigg, I consider them the same inside this franchise. With frigga's origin starting at vanaheim as a vanir, and was given the 'petname' Frigg/Frigga when she married Odin. But Odr and Odin are two separate people.
- Odr in the mythology was a figure of mystery, since almost nothing was said of him aside from the fact that he was a husband of Freyja and that with him, freyja bore two children. He was basically dubbed as a god that was almost never home, often wandering (which was never stated what for) for months on end, in which Freyja cried tears of red gold awaiting his return.
- Basically it's literally the perfect vessel for me to thrive inside here I'm cryisnsn. I tweaked the stories (since the version of practically everything of the nordic mythology inside Marvel is a RETELLING anyways) and in here, odr have known Frigga (or to him, Freyja) since childhoods.
- They are both vanirs, but of a different status from each other. Freyja/Frigga was of a noble born (/ an important figure) while Odr was not. Odr was a set up companion for Freyja/Frigga as she was a very unhappy child growing up. Odr is perfect for this job when he was skilled in the domain of songs, poetry and dances. That thing is basically a walking circus meant to entertain Freyja/Frigga lolz
(she was attached to his hip when they were children)
- Odr is in nature a genderfluid, and yes she shapeshifts frequently on whatever gender he was feeling at the moment (since she's technically me, and I'm genderfluid as fuck). She's an AFAB, and yes that's rlly important for me to point out. He's also bisexuals since I am one and I can do whatever I want.
- Yes, Odr carries Hela inside here. How? mann idk, okay jokes because I've been thinking about this lots of times. We all know that in the mythology, Hela was originally the daughter of Loki but obviously that wouldn't work in marvel. So here, Hela is originally the daughter of odr and freyja/frigga (how? magic people magic) with Hela inheriting most of odr's features and interests. (the colour palette, the dark hair and the love for the colour green)
- To emphasize more on how this happens, basically one god (coughs) is more upset than the other when the marriage announcement to Odin was revealed. Freyja was promised to Odin, and odr was ridiculously craving for a life that was just hers and frigga. and bam! Here comes Hela.
- Obviously Odin wasn't satisfied by this event happening and took Freyja (or to him, Frigga) and Hela both with him back to asgard, basically leaving odr alone in vanaheim (as punishments). Hela was never told who her real mother is, and lived on thinking that she was the rightful daughter to both Odin and Frigga. During this period of time, Frigga was not a great mother to Hela. It would've explained how Frigga let her daughter's view of the world be shaped by Odin, birthing a war general instead, because she never bothered to teach her. Hela reminds Frigga too much of her old lover, odr.
- When Hela was cast off to Hel does Frigga finally regain her thinking, and lived on in regrets of losing the last pieces of Odr she has left. During this time, she bores Thor (whom she adores with all her hearts) and a few winters later; a baby that looked eerily similar to both Hela and Odr came knocking on her doorsteps. Odin explained that it was a jotunn, who's taken the form of an aesir (she never bothered to tell odin that it has taken the form of Hela instead, and not a random aesir. Odin has long forgotten what Hela had looked like), and in the feelings of sympathy- decided to take him in and named him Loki.
- So happy ending, two children were shoved to Frigga and she swore to raise them the right way this time bla bla bla and stuff,,, this is getting embarrassing it's getting too long I'll stop now.
