tom suggesting that maggie o’halloran might be “too much for harry to handle” in voy’s spirit folk is ironic given that one of harry’s most recent girlfriends was an actual terrorist, and before that he had a thing for seven. it’s also revealing of one of the more interesting ways that tom sees harry as being someone with a sort of noble and virtuous purity about him that in turn makes him ontologically good, which means that in tom’s fairly myopic view of things the “right” kind of woman for harry is someone who is just as “good”. that or tom’s just making up reasons for why any woman who harry lays eyes on isn’t good enough for him. who can say
