The Second Fate
It was dark, and one of the most powerful lightning storms you've ever endured was sending ripples into the night. It could be described that a hurricane is engulfing you. You had been safe, out with some friends when it started, scouting the dark night with flashlights to find your way home. The bolts that hit the earth were so close that you could see where they hit the ground. It shook the ground as if an earthquake was devouring the earth below your feet. You took off in a fearful sprint, only to slip and drop yourself and your flashlight into a muddy puddle. Your friends ran ahead, leaving you alone in the dark. You called to them but no one answered, your voice was lost in the loud booming of the storm. You were most certainly alone. You fumbled to save your flashlight from the muddy waters, but it had gone dim and any attempts to save it caused the bulb to burn out. You hopelessly crawled around the soggy ground, hoping to find some means of shelter, but suddenly, the ground collapses beneath you. You fell, fell, fell until you hit cold dirt. You hit the ground back first, having the breath pushed out of your body with force. Slowly gaining your breath back, you realized you were alright. You had no broken bones, and you were safe from the lightning storm. You laid there, completely exhausted from your earlier actions. You closed your eyes, hoping to rest until morning. Of course your friends would come back for you, wouldn't they? You were nearly asleep, balancing on the edge of unconsciousness until you felt an unnatural crawling sensation on your exposed legs. As you open your eyes, you jerk back in fear. Looking down at your legs there were hundreds, no, THOUSANDS of what looked like small spiders crawling up your legs. You let out a scream, only to be quickly silenced by a large, horrifying spider jumping onto your face.
The First Fate
You find yourself floating in a room made completely of mirrors. The ceiling, the floor, the walls. All mirrors. What are you floating in? Water. Deep dark water. It's slowly rising above your neck, soon it'll be over your head. You try to close your eyes, but even then you can't help but imagine what it must be to drown alone in this endless room. As the water continuously rises, your light source, a small candle, starts to flicker. All alone in your dark, watery grave. You can just barely glimpse your horrified face before everything goes dark.
