I'm not really sure how I should feel when I see people who treated me like shit get all of this positive reinforcement and respect.

It just makes me feel so sad that they got to treat me like garbage but everybody’s always putting in the effort to treat them well and tell them to keep up the good work. What the fuck is that about? Do they just get a free pass to be an asshole with no negative consequences?

It's amazing how total assholes are often popular and get ahead in life. You end up sitting there watching them be terrible to everything and everyone and people still choose to like them, love them and support them, and you're looking around like "Seriously? Is anyone else seeing this shit?" Meanwhile, you have to be happy being the person whose marginalized while working to help those around you and be there for them even though their presence seems scarce when the tables turn and you're the one in need of support. It's so frustrating.
