Could you do the fourth on the the dialogue list for Giyuu?
“ You’re very warm, it’s comforting.”
It was an unusually cold night outside; although snow littered the ground, the wind had more of a stinging bite to it than usual. You shivered as you walked across the soft, white-layered ground, being mindful of how you walked as to not have your feet sink to deep into it.
Several steps ahead of you walked an absent-minded Giyuu, the current water hashira for the demon slayer corps. You’d both been assigned a mission to monitor a local village for signs of demon activity, as some of the locals had been reporting strange activity near one of the farms. It wasn’t anything that Giyuu himself was worried about, and he objected vehemently to his time being wasted on what easily could be a some coyotes looking for somewhere to make a den.
But nonetheless, you two were scouting around the perimeter, looking for any possible signs of a stray demon.
“H-How much longer are we supposed to be here for?” You asked the raven haired man in front of you, bringing your arms up around you in a futile attempt to warm your arms; the quick rubbing motion you made did nothing to combat the chill.
“3 days.” He responded bluntly, taking a short glance back at you as he spoke. “You should’ve worn more layers.”
Gee, what wonderful advice. It’s not my fault it’s colder than a gods-forsaken ice cavern out here!
You outwardly scowled as his remark.
“The sun is coming up, we should go back and rest.” You suggested, hoping Giyuu would agree with you. You’d been out since the moment the sun went down, so to say you were a bit tired was an understatement. It didn’t help that you two were essentially doing nothing but walking for 12 hours straight.
It was very sudden, but your knees had given out on you, forcing you to eat a face full of snow with a soft thud.
You quickly attempted to regain your composure, but the extreme temperature had apparently been doing more to your body than you had realized. You felt extremely sore and stiff, the surrounding snow not making things any better.
You’d propped yourself up on your knees, brushing the offending soft ice off of your face and the front of your uniform. As you looked up, you noticed Giyuu was kneeled in front of you, his hands reaching out to gently touched the sides of your arms. He looked incredibly concerned, his mirror-glazed eyes observing your reddened face.
“Are you alright?” He asked, patting your arms slightly.
“I-I’m fine, just,” You paused for a moment, riding a chill that overcame you “I’m really cold, and I think it’s affecting me more than I thought it would.”
The raven haired man pursed his lips for a moment before standing up, removing his mismatched haori and beckoning to you, causing you to tilt your head slightly in genuine confusion.
“I’ll carry you back, come here.”
Maybe the temperature is affecting him more than it was affecting you.
You blinked for a few moments, but didn’t exactly put up a fight against his offer. You weren’t really in the position to walk the entire way back to the place you two were lodging at.
You slowly picked yourself up, brushing your legs off as you did. The taller hashira leaned over slightly, low enough for you to get on his back with relative ease.
As you pressed your chest against his back, you were surprised. He was so warm. It was almost unfair.
You wrapped your arms around his neck, resting your head against his back. He’d placed his hands against the bends of your knees, but one hand grabbed his haori from the ground, wrapping it back around his body and placing his arms through the sleeves; it created an extra layer of protection around you from the harsh cold.
You shuddered a bit from the drastic change from cold to warm, burying your face further into back. You wanted to stay here forever, it was so warm.
He returned his hand to the bend of your knee, adjusting you to sit more comfortably on him, and began the long walk home. You pondered to yourself about if this is how Nezuko felt on Tanjiro’s back.
Giyuu’s footsteps were soft against the snow, despite the extra weight you’d created on him. It’s almost like he weighed nothing given how he barely made a dent in the snow.
You placed your chin on his shoulder, watching the scenery ahead of you as he walked. The sunlit morning across the white frosted forest was truly breathtaking, not exactly something you got to enjoy often. Definitely not something you got to enjoy while being carried, either.
“Tomioka-san?” You attempted to gain his attention, but all he gave you was a sideways glance, and a slightly cocked eyebrow.
“You’re very warm, it’s comforting.”
You swore his body temperature increased tenfold after your remark.
