People think this is just a joke but Alan Turing was the inventor of the computer and his sexuality was illegal in his time (which was not even 100 years ago) and he was arrested. They put him on drugs that destroyed his genius brain and committed suicide a year after being covicted. He was gay and a war hero as well. He helped to break enigma which was a German code that they put all their messages through. He shorted WWII by two years and saved so many lives in the process.

Look if anyone can help my mom out I'd appreciate it. She was recently beaten badly by her husband (separated) and suffered brain damage and brain bleeding. As a result she's been left permanently half blind, suffers seizures, memory loss, greatly reduced mobility, and was already half deaf.

She needs money for food deliveries, rent, and to help her move into a new apartment (far away from her abusor).

She suffered a seizure while driving today (I know. But there's no one currently available to take care of her and has no money for a cab so she's been forced to drive to get her own food) and this is the final straw.

I'm rationing whatever money I have left to make sure I have food and make my bills until my unemployment kicks in, I can't even afford my own asthma meds and my own contions have been progressively getting worse throughout the course of the pandemic. I can't help her.
