well, it's been a while. the writer's block really got me for a bit there. but i'm back now, and i'm gonna try and be more consistent.

well, it's been a while. the writer's block really got me for a bit there. but i'm back now, and i'm gonna try and be more consistent.
structural editing has me so overwhelmed that i've just made thousands of different plans and outlines and summaries instead of doing something about the issues in my manuscript.
"why does she always act like this omg," is what i just said to myself talking about the main character of my novel.
i'm subverting expectations!! i scream as they take me away. I'M SUBVERTING EXPECTATIONS!!!
i keep getting the motivation to write another version of my novel from the pov of the love interest. i haven’t even finished the original version. i’m getting ahead of myself…
me reading back my writing: omg i'm cooking. this is so witty and funny and just so amazing give me all the awards now.
me reading it back months later: oh my. i sent this to someone. and they read it. what was i thinking?
the look i give my reader when they start correctly guessing the plot twists chapters away.
what no one tells you about writing a novel: how much you're gonna yearn for fan art of characters nobody knows yet.
currently doing plot edits again. this stage is so daunting that it's making me procrastinate badly. future me: please tell me how this work is paying off as you're doing line edits.
working on my novel has got me watching glass blowing videos. this stuff is so cool. i'm looking up the history of it rn...
what do you mean when i'm moving around scenes it's effecting the entire plot what do you meannnnn
turns out what i thought was the midpoint of my novel was actually at the 58% mark...
turned my whole manuscript into comic sans for edits. it's such a different experience now.
how i look when a reader says i did something in my novel and i pull the 'what if i said it was intentional?' card.
it is so daunting starting edits on a complete manuscript. where do i even begin?
one of my readers called the main character of my novel insufferable. i feel like a protective mother the way im like 'no, don't listen to them, you're wonderful.'
it’s both satisfying and anxiety inducing every time i send a piece of writing out. like i’m so happy i wrote this but…i wrote this, and someone’s gonna read it…
