I'm very sorry to ask something like this, I've really been struggling with this question, and I wanted to ask the combined wisdom of the people on this site
I would like to know why you keep going, and what drives you to keep living. I know there are a lot of reasons to stay alive and enjoy life, I can think of a few that personally resonate with me, but I really want to know what your reasons are
You do not have to comment on this if that's too big of an ask, and I'm very sorry for asking something like this, I really need someone's help, I feel like I don't have much purpose
Also if I may ask, please don't post any suicidal ideation in the comments of this post, I really can't handle something like that right now
The pure dread that comes with losing a loved one. Unfortunately have lost many people from my life, and there's nothing that really fills the void you're left with after they're gone.
Also, remind yourself of that time your SO kissed and smooched your face all over and you couldn't stop giggling. That time you were with your friends after smoking way too much and rolling on the floor laughing because you saw the apparition of Jhon Lennon in one of your faces. That time you took a hike with your lover (although you both dislike hiking) and upon making it to the end of the trail saw such a beautiful view it made you feel small in comparison.
Also, the vision of being old. Really. I can't stress this enough, if you are trans or queer in any way, please, please, please keep going. The kids of your siblings, your cousins, all the young people that are and will be in your life deserve a queer grandparent/ uncle or aunt/ relative in general. We have to be here, to tell our stories, to destigmatize, just to prove we can.
Just look!! There's so many places you haven't seen, not even talking about the ones thousands of kilometers away, the ones right next to you!! The cats? The dogs? The food? You still have so much to experience.
I lost a very close friend in a car accident very recently, not my first loss. And right now, well, you just have to keep living, because they can't. I've known so many people way more ambitious than me, and after they're gone their goals sort of dissappear, unfinished. Just experiencing is a treasure we don't think about, especially when you have chronic issues, depression, etc.
Find a job that's not dreadful, get a place that's not too expensive (all of them are though), schedule yourself some mandatory break time. You'll find that you're not an always tired husk of a person, it's just the system that chewed you up
