I'm a day late for Halloween, but the Ch6 update is also done! I'm actually having a lot of fun with these rewrites right now, comparing them to the point in plot I'm at in the current WIP chapter, so hope you enjoy!

The rewrite of Chapter 5 is completed, and guess who figured out how to do fancy dropdown spoiler text for the notes and such! Probably going to finish a few of these to ease back in before completing Ch26, and spruce up some of the other formatting while I'm at it. Thanks for sticking around!

my favorite thing about this post is that a handful of people have gone "oh wait! this is tangible proof that i don't need to be embarrassed about leaving a lot of comments!! i'll stop being so ashamed!" YES!! ao3 authors basically universally will die for people who comment spam. we love to see it and we do not find you weird or annoying At All.
think about it this way: we ourselves are weird enough to have spent several hours, days, or Months writing down this story. we are weird enough about the content to do that! why on Earth would we be mean and judgmental toward people who care enough to get excited about reading it?? we shared it Specifically For You To Get Excited About!
Met again out on the Strip, Nipton long behind them. Brought the Mark of Caesar, gave her safe passage to their lands, had someone she was looking for. She came along alright, but maybe Benny wasn't the only reason she showed up to the Fort that day. His long puppy-dog face and sad blue eyes drive even Couriers crazy, it seems. They had that in common, innocent on the outside, but a certain bloodlust on the inside. It started out sweet sure, but you can definitely say it didn't stay that way.

Also y'all this really ties into how impactful comments are and why it's so encouraged to leave comments and leave NICE ones. If I hadn't known this was spam, and if I'd gotten this on my currently-updating fic, it would've crushed me and likely convinced me to never update again. Adversely, even one nice comment from someone is enough to motivate me to write and share more. If you read a fic you liked, tell the author that! If you're reading an unfinished fic, leave a comment to say you're excited for more, or comment throughout chapters even! It really is so easy and quick to do, and it's not only nice but it can also completely alter a writer's motivation and inspiration
Fanfic writers, please be aware that for some reason having bots spam fics with negative comments is a thing now. Not sure what anyone gets out of spreading misery, but just know it's not anything to do with your fic. I got one that was like, "This fic is a delight ... just kidding, it's unfunny and tedious." It was very clearly unrelated to the content of the fic but for someone else it might have been heartbreaking.

Well I sure did put it off for months, but my Left 4 Dead themed Ao3 site and work skins have both had all of their broken images reposted and are repaired! I'd greatly appreciate checking them out and am always open to feedback, or for people to report any lingering bugs!
