Wow, Anna & her husband’s New York City apt. looks like a theater set or a fairy tale. You can see that Anna’s inspired by the Art Nouveau movement.
They both work in the arts (Anna’s in wardrobe and costuming) on Broadway in NYC and it shows in their home. Their landlord told them they could whatever they want to the apt. (only in NYC).
A significant amount of their apartment is thrifted or curb finds. When so many people were leaving the city back during the lockdown, they were leaving behind beautiful antique furniture, and Anna took it and made it theirs.
Anna always wanted to have her own space to decorate as crazily as possible. It’s a floor-to-ceiling theatrical and artistic space, and Anna teaches sewing here, too.
She wanted a home that looked like a theater set, and that’s basically what she’s been able to accomplish with all the free time when Broadway was shut down.
Anna painted the ceiling of Grand Central Station on the master bedroom wall. The ceiling is blue with stars.
Having twinkle lights and a canopy makes it the dreamiest place to relax in at night. “It feels like a fairytale to sleep in,” says Anna.
They redid their formerly 80s question in 1920s Paris style.

Sonia has a gorgeous 1930s home that was decorated on a budget, but it’s so beautiful (and dark) that it does not look like budget decor by any means.
Does this beautiful home look anything like a budget job?
