I wrote a piece about loving him and kept putting āyouā because I love writing him love letters.
āI filled a book with how much I love him, starting from the ways his ears stick out just so, and the way he rubs his feet together to fall asleep. I wrote about how his hand is always warm and his fingers are always gentle when they touch me. I wrote of how I love the way his lips curve and how he canāt hide his emotions on his face. I wrote so much I ran out of pages. I love him, I love him, I love him.ā
āHe had a kind heart. Soft eyes. A coy smile. Dimples. He was a like a piece of artwork. Certain details stick with you even if you canāt recall it all.ā
āI remember holding your hand, walking in sync and thinking as I looked at you- āthisāll never end. Weāre perfect,ā how naive of me. How naive to think we were an exception to the rule. Everything ends. Even if it is at one time perfect.ā
Something about coming home to after a long day at work and heās home- heās waiting, greets me with a hug and huge smile- āmy little babyā he says āI missed you today, how was workā and I get to melt for him. I get to tell him what I did, how, where- he listens. We sit in comfortable silence and glance over at each other occasionally. We share small smiles. He laughs and makes jokes. We eat dinner together, enjoying the peace of our home. He kisses my hands and says thank you for the meal.
And we love, we love, we love.
she is back with the writings!! missed you love
I missed you!
I dedicate gorgeous to him because the first time we met I did mock how he spoke and I couldnāt pinpoint his accent but now ages later his voice is my favorite sound and when heās holding our baby and singing to her I think Iāll fall in love all over again.
āWe began like a fire. There was nothing slow or controlled about us. On Sunday, we didnāt know each other. Monday, we met and suddenly colors look different and I wear a ring on my finger that he gave me while down on one knee. Everything has been fast, a hurry to catch up and make up for all the time weāve spent not knowing each other. Weāre the fire that consumes.ā
āI donāt remember his cologne anymore. I go days without thinking about him. I no longer miss his laugh. I understand now- Iāve left him in the past.ā
āWhen we fought, it got bad quick. He would say things just because he knew it hurt me. I would do the same. The only difference was I knew where the line was. The one you donāt cross. He knew too of course. Yes, of course he did. Heās a very smart person. Heād just choose to ignore it. He would one track it until I was screaming that I hated him. And then heād sigh and say āAh but not as much as you love me.āā
āThey donāt tell you that sometimes youāll break someoneās heart and your own in the process. Sometimes we hurt good people. Sometimes weāre the bad guy in someone elseās story.ā

You were drinking heavily, nightly, and then daily.
āThe world will end soon, might as well,ā
You poured with a heavy hand until you started to drink from the bottle itself. We had a fight in front of your friends. Weāre screaming, itās semi-public and you know how I am about my privacy. Youāre throwing your hands up, youāre mocking me, youāre slurring your words and Iām shaking with anger. We smash dishes on the floor, the walls, and they sail past our heads. We never do well together for long. Havenāt we learned by now? Itās clear someone has to go.
Every single night this week has been like. No donāt sleep, stay up and have crippling anxiety about the future!
How do you go through sadness?
I live with it but donāt make a home out of it. I make space for it in my bed, we eat dinner together sometimes. we walk at night but it falls asleep before I get home and I forget about it. it comes out in loneliness, it comes out in anger, it comes out in desire for attention; and I remember that something is just hurting and make space for it to hurt. I listen to the birds sing. I pay attention to flowers growing. I let it exist with happiness because sometimes they are together. I make a point to become kinder to myself.
I hope you know Iāll always carry a part of you with me
this summer i just wanna be present. i wanna spend more time in the moment. soaking it all in.
