It was a huge milestone of scientific and technological advancement. (Plus, at the time, politically significant). Humanity went to space! We set foot on a celestial body that was not earth for the first time in human history! Thatās a big deal! Iāve never thought about it before but now that I have, itās ridiculous to me that thatās not part of our everyday lives and the public consciousness anymore. Why donāt we have a public holiday and a family barbecue about it. Why have I never seen the original broadcast of the moon landing? It should be all over the news every year!
Itās July 20th. Thatās the day of the moon landing. Next year is going to be the 54th anniversary. Iām ordering astronaut shaped cookie cutters on Etsy and Iām going to have a goddamn potluck. Youāre all invited.
PITCH: We call it Moon Day, and then every 7 years when it falls on a Monday, that's an even BIGGER deal and we call that Moon Day Monday and go absolutely apeshit about it (the next Moon Day Monday is in 2026 so we have a couple trial runs first)
I scheduled this in 2025 to give you all a week to make Moon Day Monday preparations! I think I will order a little rocket cake or bake some moon phase cookies!
Saw a post about Stratt and Grace getting married so he couldnāt testify against her in court and I believe the interaction goes something like as follows:
āGrace, I need your signature.ā
Grace looked up from his work in his closet of an office. Stratt closed the door behind her.
āAn autograph? Iām flattered.ā
She pushed the work off his already disheveled desk and set a single paper on top. It kind of looked like his degree, it kind of looked like-
āA marriage license? Well, now Iām really flattered.āļæ¼
āFor legal reasons. Just sign.ā Stratt muttered.
āAre you serious?ā
Of course she was serious. She only was serious. But she seemedā¦uncomfortable? The feeling looked strange on her. Eyes dart between the paper and him. Arms crossed over her chest as if hugging herself. It was definitely a new look. They were in new territory.
āIām not the marrying type.ā said Grace. āAnd I think I forgot to propose.ā
Stratt breathed in deeply. Steeling herself.
āGrace,ā Her hands were fidgeting with the cuff of her sleeve. āWhat Iām doing here is illegal. Iāve broken alot of rules to give the crew a chance to save us. But once the mission beginsā¦the world order will need to go back to how it was.ā
Grace listened intently trying to make eye contact with her glassy gaze. He hadnāt thought to much about the legality of it all. After all, that was her job.
āI will be put on trial. I will be found guilty. I will serve the rest of my life behind bars. That is my cost.ā Stratt continued, āYou, the team, will all be fine. But-ā
She pushed the license closer to Grace.
āSpouses donāt testify in court.ā
Finally she looked at him. She wasnāt telling him to sign. If that was the case she probably wouldāve just forged his signature. Hell, she probably has a whole team just for that purpose. She was asking him.
His choice. Just between the two of them.
āWe donāt have to sleep together, right?ā
Her eyes went big. āGod Grace! No! Just sign the damn paper!ā she huffed.
He smiled. And put his name under hers.
Husband and wife.
Well, more like āMost powerful person in the worldā and āSome guy she kept around.ā But still. Till death do they part.

i just thought of people pearl absolutely admire and would feel guilty failing over. i love PET postal but there's also this distance in this group that comes from pearl timezones preventing them from hanging out and doing stuff together, which solidifies their roles for me in this au... she would love to get to know them and save stars together but she couldn't, even though both etho and tango have high opinions of her. having friends in different timezones than you is kind of like a dead wife

over the past several days, i have talked with dozens of people who have corroborated evidence which confirms fears i have had for months - fears which i had been made to believe were unsubstantiated, until now. for my own privacy, safety, and wellbeing, i will be keeping this a personal matter. if there comes a time where it becomes relevant to share my perspective, i will do so with care and respect for everyone involved. at this time, however, i do not feel it would be helpful.
this situation has left me heartbroken. it has been devastating to find that someone who i trusted, loved, and considered one of my best friends was not the person i believed him to be. i am feeling more betrayed than i know how to express. my only solace is that in spite of this, i still find myself surrounded by friends and beloveds. forgive me if i choose to lean into them rather than my art in the coming weeks.
as for our music with Avid, i have given them the option to do what he pleases with it. while i am so, so proud of the love and care i have put into those songs, i sincerely cannot in good conscious claim them anymore. so many people have loved those songs, and i would not feel right taking them from anyone. this is why i have left it his decision whether he wants them to remain, or whether he chooses to remove them.
i ask that all of you please, please remain cordial. we are hurt, and the only thing that poking around and harassing others does is perpetuate the cycle of harm. if any malice burns within your heart, extinguish it now. i am tired of vitriol. i am tired, just in general. i want to take my time to heal, and then continue to make the art that i love, and share it with all of you. i ask each of you to do me the favor of not rocking the boat in the meantime.

the way jesper is treated breaks my heart. my boy literally has an addiction and none of his friends are family take it seriously. his dad is trying his best, of course, but he still tells him to 'just stop'. kaz makes mean jabs about it all of the time. they laugh about his lack of luck and money and he laughs along because that's just who jesper is, always laughing at himself with everyone. but deep down, I know that shit must haunt him
it's an addiction. he can't stop. he can't stop and there's no one getting him any help. instead they're making cruel remarks and kaz even makes him gamble for a job, and then still have the nerve to continue being cruel to him
he made jesper. who has an addiction. partake in that addiction. for a job
the same addiction that kaz was pissed off about in the first place
I honestly don't blame kesper for fighting with kaz in ck. poor boy was literally ridiculed constantly for having an addiction that he was never helped with. and because he's jesper fahey, funny guns, comic crow, he laughs along as though it's not ruining him
the way that jesper goes from resenting wylanās goodness and that heās so different from the rest of the crows to wanting to preserve it to seeing it as a strength and something that makes him specialā¦..i need to lay down.
headcanon that wylan grew up with healthy, clear lungs, but after starting work at the tannery, slowly started developing some sort of weakness of the lungs until it made him run out of breath quickly.
and sometimes when he canāt catch his breath, when he tries too hard to inhale and gets nothing, heās back on that boat again, remembering the first time he couldnāt breathe.
