peter the vampire slayer
i know the whole origina, conciet of buffy is "the pretty blond who gets killed in the first 5 mjnutex turns around & kills the monster" as a way to subvert tired old troubles.
But this is the realm of fanfic & peter & buffy have to much in common (the punning, the responsibility vs personal desire. Hero/skayer vs the peter/buffy) to not want a rewrite/au were peter is the vampire slayer, i dont know mybe wade can be spike & flash is cordellia. But who to be angel?
Either way i am now off to search for said fics & if you have any sujjestions feel free to link, please, i beg of you
claim your ticket here folks!!
Nancy has better character development than Steve.
bbc merlin you will ALWAYS be famous

bylers laughing at the ga when st5 finally drops and we're proven right after years of being called delusional
so i just noticed something BIG from the leaked trailer
(don’t look below the cut if you don’t want to see a part of the trailer)
i noticed that too!
cant wait for official release w/ the high res for more detail. Same w/ this pic. My current guess is that it’s will on the floor. (If not him mike & lucas are the next guesses due to body type & clothes, or robin in that case)
Okay, I'm throwing it out there because I've become a WillEl supremacist since last week.
These two scenes are happening at the same time.
Yep, I am calling it. The eventual reconnection between Will & The UD is going to be catastrophic for everyone now that it's broken out into the real world, especially everyone who is connected to the supernatural or has psychic abilities. And it's obviously going to be done via Vecna, whatever his intentions or plans are.
El, obviously, in that situation, is going to see a Max situation 2.0 where someone close to her gets taken likely for the same reasons as before and she was not there and could not do anything. It's painful both psychologically and physically. It's a mix of anger, frustation, powerlessness and fear.
pair roulette
one thing i love about this upcoming season is that it seem’s like their really running the gambit on possible character pairings/groups.
like in previous seasons we’d have our 3 main groups all of on their own objective, distinct till they slowly start to come together.
their’d be little interactions here & their but for the most part they stuck in their group.
& while there does seem to be groups of sorts, from the pics we’ve gotten i think the groups are going to be more fluctuating. After all their already all together on one objective.

Something that struck me in the date teaser was how the scene that played while Joyce said this line was Mike finding El in the woods.
Now I know fans get angsty about how Mike is always so close to the supernatural but never quite involved, but that's not true. Mike's connection to the supernatural is El.
Will's connection to the shadow (and now Henry Creel) is meant to be contrasted with Mike's connection to El. One is a nightmare, and the other is a fantasy. And they both need to figure out the real thing.
That's why I always say (in my head lol) that if Vecna did want to get to Mike, it shouldn't be through a horrific vision like season 4; it should be a Pleasantville type thing. Which we kind of saw. In the episode called Vecna's Curse.
If they really want to make a point, we should see this exact scene with Henry and Holly in season 5.
In seasons 1 and 2, we see Will dealing almost primarily with darkness. It traps him, makes him forget who he is. In season 3, it becomes a way to avoid dealing with his real problems. Having a mental breakdown over your identity crisis? No worries, the mind flayer is back.
In the same way, Mike is almost single-minded in his obsession with El in seasons 3 and 4. He has no hobbies or interests like Dustin has with science or Lucas with basketball. He has no interest in his friends' lives. He has no internal reflection or growth like Will or Max.
Mike's arc boils down to faking it with El or fighting with her, fighting with someone else over her (Max, Will), or getting support for his relationship with her (Lucas, Will). It's almost like Mike - just like Will with the shadow - forgets who he is when he's with El.
Going back again to what I said above - Will needs to find the strength to face the darkness but Mike needs to let go of the light, the fantasy.
And this is not a dig on El. She has done a lot of self-discovery outside of Mike, she has a rich world with friends and interests and connections beyond him.
With El and Mike, the question going into season 5 seems to be 'Can they get their Happily Ever After?'
And the vibes from that rooftop scene are exactly how I see a lot of shippers characterizing their dynamic. They're two star-crossed lovers who keep getting torn apart by external or supernatural circumstances, this is their story and it's the centerpiece of the show, and when they finally stop this thing they'll get to ride off into the sunset together.
They're not the problem. Everything else is. They can't let the mouth breathers ruin them.
On the nose is what the Duffers do best.
With Will, the question going into season 5 seems to be 'Can he sever his connection or will he need to die to do so?' which goes along with the other one that seems to be leaking its way into promo and supplementary media, 'Will Mike and Will still be friends?'
This isn't just the little snippet from the annual calendar thing. The recent Hellfire Club comic also focuses on how Will was Mike's first friend with Eddie encouraging Mike to let go off the past and move on. There's a flashback to another DM who throws his wizard childhood friend out of the party. We're also seeing Will isolated from the rest of the party visually and physically.
On the surface, it looks like the show is painting Will himself as difficult to connect with and love. He is plagued by visions, he's going to be angry and frustrated, and he doesn't seem to be able to contribute much. We're going to see Will at his lowest point and we've seen some lows, my friends. We've seen some lows.
I love this shot because the sky is on fire but the flowers are still in bloom.
I don't have to point out the obvious but I will. It is not the supernatural that is keeping Mike and El apart; it's the only thing that connects them. All their fights happen when they actually have to deal with reality. All their growth happens when they're apart.
The opposite is going to be true for Will. He thinks the end of this story is one where he's all alone but he's not. He's not alone. 🥲
This goes hand in hand with the D&D metaphors and how they both see themselves too. Will thinks he is the villain, a wizard corrupted by evil (and gay thoughts). Mike thinks he is the hero, a paladin who has sworn an oath to his noble lady. The reality is somewhere in the middle.
”friends don’t lie” H.C
my silly little head canon is that mike said this to will in kindergarten when lonnie was still around and will was habitually lying to cover it up. & mike makes the rule to ensure will always tells him the truth a “you can lie to everybody but me” with the friends don’t lie his kids mind way of reasoning why this is a law, a rule that cannot be broken. & why will is one of the characters that so stagnantly follows this rule, especially in terms to mike.
than lucas and dustin came around, the party grew & with it the rule.
Let's Talk About Noah Schnapp
In light of everything that's happened in the last few days—namely Netflix releasing its first teaser for Stranger Things Season 5—many are returning to Stranger Things spaces online here and elsewhere for the first time in months. Maybe years. So, it's time to have this conversation again, because many people weren't here when some of us were having this conversation in the lull between content; and we're due for an update.
Buckle up—this is going to be long. I intend for this to be a mega post on the whole situation in so far as I can cover it, with receipts and screenshots.
The Conversation Around Noah
Put bluntly—the vitriol around Noah Schnapp has become dangerously insane. It's been that way for 2 years, but the renewed spotlight on Stranger Things, especially as Noah is set to take center stage in a Will Byers-centric season, has revived some of the worst elements of the conversation.
"What do you mean?", you may be asking. Well, I think it might just be better to show you:
This is just a sampling. If I showed you every tweet — every post — every video I've seen with this rhetoric, I'd need another medium to do it. A tumblr blog alone couldn't contain it all. But I take it you see my point now.
How Did Things Get This Way?
There are people on this app and on #that app who will say this behavior/treatment is warranted. They'll tell you that Noah is a "genocide supporter." That he "cheered for the deaths of Palestinian babies." That he "celebrated as people were being murdered." But none of this is true.
As a reminder, this was what Noah actually said—his very first comments on the matter—right after the Hamas attack that happened on October 7, 2023:
Important to note:
"...we will hope and pray for safety, justice, liberation, and self determination in Palestine."
and
"...we will say a Jewish prayer for peace for all Israelis and Palestinians."
That is the literal antithesis of support for a genocide or the wholesale slaughter of anyone.
The very next thing to happen was the infamous "sticker video" about which the most lies have been told, so let's debunk them one by one:
He did not make the stickers.
He did not wear the stickers.
He did not hand out the stickers.
He did not hold up the stickers.
He did not even touch the stickers.
He did not post the video on any social anywhere.
I've posted a pair of screenshots here that give you the gist in lieu of the video itself, but you can Google the video and watch the entire thing to see that I'm telling the truth.
What actually happened was that Noah was taken to a restaurant by a pair of influencers who were his guides while on a school-sponsored trip to Israel. Both were significantly older than him, were responsible for the video in question, were the only ones in it (aside from the waitress) to actually touch the stickers in question... and yet? Noah bore the brunt of the hate that ensued. When the backlash came, they abandoned him and left him to the wolves. (And perhaps because of that, he no longer associates with either one of them, nor follows any related social media accounts—all of which he was required to follow in the first place as terms of going on the trip through his school.)
Noah had just come out of the closet earlier that year and was 18 years-old. He would only turn 19 years-old in the ensuing weeks.
He has addressed these events several times. Most famous was the TikTok that he made explaining his actual position (that he doesn't want anyone, Palestinian or Israeli, to die). Less famous were remarks he made to fans on Snapchat:
I'll post his remarks here for those who can't read the text:
Hey guys! I appreciate you reaching out. To give you context, I did not post this language or sticker. I was at breakfast with friends, it happened to be an Israeli cafe, and a girl was handing out stickers. Someone photographed me and posted and tagged me. As you guys know better than most people, social media can be used however people want to use it. I understand the weight of the situation and take it very seriously. I have friends of friends who are currently being held hostage in Gaza right now. My friends kids were killed in the massacre at the Israeli music festival. Standing up against this terrorism is important to me and why I made my statement after the attack. As one of the only few Jewish people with a platform, I absolutely think it's important to share my message about hatred for Jews around the world right now. However, everyone online is obviously twisting everything and saying I support genocide and am Islamophobic which is obviously entirely false and never have I stated either of those things. Seeing what is happening to the innocent people in Palestine pains me so much and I wish it would stop. I fully support everyone in Palestine as I said in my post on Instagram. One of my best friends in college is Palestinian and we talk about this issue allllll the time and agree on most things. I think people on social media are just animalistic right now so it's hard to even chime in because they just rip me apart so now I'm staying out of it.
I'll let that stand on it's own. I think it provides the context behind his remarks, the situation with the video/stickers, and his actual views versus how social media portrays his views. It also explains why he hasn't said anything else in almost 2 years.
The key takeaway: He was speaking out against antisemitism and the attack on Jewish people on October 7 and he supports an end to what is happening in Gaza and fully supports Palestinians. He literally says it.
And this support, by the way, has been corroborated by his own actions and the word of mouth from Palestinian organizations he has contributed to:
What Has Happened Since?
It would be easier to list the things that haven't happened; but I'll try anyways:
Noah has been called antisemitic slurs; gay slurs and targeted with gay stereotypes; been compared to antisemitic caricatures; he's been threatened with death and had posts go viral fantasizing about his brutal murder; his family has been threatened; he's been threatened with rape and sexual abuse; there are massive accounts on Twitter that doxxed his location while he was filming Season 5—particularly targeting him when he was alone; he's been hacked, had personal pictures leaked; he's had lies spread about his treatment of his cast mates (all of whom have spoken out and said that they've loved him at some point since, making these claims unequivocally false.
Here are a few examples:
Again, I can only post a sample. I hope that sample is enough to get the message across.
It's hard to overstate how cataclysmic this has been. Obviously, he's recovered and healed a lot since the initial incident; but the damage done needs to be acknowledged. These attacks drove him into a dark place by his own admission. He talked about needing therapy on his (now deleted) private spam TikTok account. And they are starting up yet again.
And Then There's the Fandom
The Stranger Things fandom in the wake of all this has been an irritating place to be. Not just because of the above behavior but because of the blanket hypocrisy.
The shipping sub-fandoms in particular have been rank with antisemitism and homophobia—even the Byler fandom, which is predominantly queer. People have:
A) Taken pre-Stranger Things photos—like his baby pictures or pictures with his family—to use as part of their content, their profile pictures, their banners, their fan art, their fan edits, etc.—violating his and his family's privacy for "Will" all while calling him "ugly," a "fag," and lobbing the above-listed threats at him. B) Tried to recast him with a fan cast. These fan casts are almost never Jewish actors, you'll notice. In fact, there's someone on this very app that recast Will Byers as himself. This is gross and absurd. Will Byers is intrinsically tied to Noah Schnapp. Tied to his identities as a Jewish person and a gay man. Tied to his experiences being a character he helped bring to life during his formative years. C) Persist in stanning or support his cast mates despite the fact that they continue to associate with him. This, in particular, is gross hypocrisy. If you're going to be mad at Noah Schnapp for being in a restaurant around stickers you object to—guilt by proximity/association, in other words—those SAME standards should apply to his cast mates, who continue to hang out with him outside of work, state that they love him, and post him on their social medias. I have a whole post about that here.
Instead, the cast is continually afforded blanket immunity while he is singularly targeted for continued abuse and harassment.
It should give the fandom some pause that openly pro-Palestine actors like Maya Hawke not only continue to hang out with him; but in her Instagram story, even stated that she misses it (check the link above for a screenshot of said story). She wouldn't do that if she thought he somehow supported mass-murder; and she knows him way better than any one reading this blog. That goes for the rest of them, too.
They know him better than you. They know his moral compass and what he believes. And they haven't abandoned him and obviously aren't going to. So, are you going to stick to your guns and apply your anger evenly; or maybe consider that you don't have the full picture?
So, Why Care?
I get this in my Asks so often. "Why do you care?" "He's a celebrity." "He don't know you." "He's not your pookie."
I know. It's not about that.
Yes, full disclosure, I am obviously a fan of Noah's. Have been since the show started. And no it's not because I'm gay and he's gay or because he plays my favorite character in Stranger Things.
Like many of his fans, I've spent the last decade seeing his lives on Instagram and TikTok, seeing his fan interactions, watching his vlogs and videos, and I've come to respect him as a human being quite apart from Will Byers or his role as an actor. Fundamentally, I really believe he is a kind and caring human being. The word of mouth from everyone who knows or has met him bares this out—and, yes, he's even been kind to me in the few conversations we've had.
This is only one example from Instagram during The First Shadow premiere this year; but I think it encapsulates what I like about Noah most. He's kind. He goes out of his way to be kind. He does things he doesn't have to do, contractually or just in general, for the sake of being kind. He always has been.
He's also stood up for a plethora of causes. Black Lives Matters, trans rights, the rights of women. He's known to be his cast mates' biggest supporter—and they'll tell you as much, too.
But quite apart from my personal feelings about him and more importantly: this is wrong.
Antisemitism is wrong. Homophobia is wrong. Both kill. Still, to this day. As I am sitting in my kitchen writing this, the news just broke that an Indigenous gay man and a celebrity was shot dead in front of his husband—after having his home burned down and dogs burned alive—in the United States. Yesterday, news broke that a gathering of peaceful Jewish protesters (which included children and the elderly) demanding the release of hostages still held by Hamas was firebombed in Colorado. Luckily, they all survived, but six people were injured in that attack.
Violence and bigotry are ascendent everywhere right now. Minority communities are being targeted. Normalizing the behavior I've described and shown above kills marginalized people. Regardless of your feeling about Noah as a person or celebrity, normalizing the violent and bigoted remarks, tweets, and behavior towards him harms Jewish and LGBTQIA+ people—all of us.
And just as an example of that, I give you the treatment Finn Wolfhard is now receiving just for the "crime" of shaving his head and being deemed no longer conventionally attractive by the fandom:
Yes, the general audience found out about Finn's Jewish heritage and now he's a target, too.
And this fandom is at fault for it.
You cannot normalize bigotry towards one person and expect it to stay contained to that one person. It will always harm everyone in that community. Finn Wolfhard—or any other actor/actress—being your favorite is not going to spare him from the consequences of a discourse you started.
ALL antisemitism and ALL homophobia needs to be called out. The people who insist it's okay that they do that for ANY reason—regardless of if they themselves are LGBTQIA+ or not—need to be ejected from the fandom and never let back in.
Noah Schnapp is a human being. He does not deserve this treatment. No one does. No one is saying you have to like him or even care about him. But you SHOULD care that this is how he's being treated and the impact it is having on others. The impact on Jewish people. The impact on queer people. Standing up and saying that does not mean you support genocide or murder or bigotry of any kind. Quite the opposite, in fact.
I am a person with left-leaning values. I'm tired of those values being spat on and dragged through the mud by people who think THIS is activism or is in any way helping a cause. It's not. All it is doing is perpetuating harm on a real person and real communities—queer and Jewish alike. And it needs to stop.

The Great Byler Shift
There's been a quite a bit more drama lately in the Mileven/Byler "war," yes. But has anyone noticed the discourse starting to shift away from "Bylers are delusional" toward "the show would be ruined if Byler happens"?
Like there low-key is a growing acceptance of the possibility that Byler will happen.
A recent TikTok:
First, the last few months have seen a spate of new Byler creators! The fanbase is becoming more and more confident in expressing our views.
But I think people can probably guess the most recent precipitating events:
The new sunset/sunrise footage of Mike and El. We canNOT tell much from teaser footage because we don't have context. But for those of us who'd been following the discourse from toxic Milev"ns, they were SO SURE that the leaked footage of Finn and Millie on a rooftop was a purely positive romantic scene. (Some mentioning a village and waterfalls!) But El's complex expression in the teaser and the sunset/sunrise imagery (strongly implying transition and change) made clear that it's more than it seems. To go from near certainty about that scene to seeing this HAS to shake them and question everything they'd been so confident about before.
The "Dinner with who?" teaser. If the creators are openly teasing a love triangle, then this SHATTERS everything Milev*ns have been saying. There was supposed to be ZERO possibility of Byler because "Mike is straight" and the whole romantic plot supposedly ended with Mike confessing his love. In the comments to Matt Multiverse's new TikTok (which is about to hit 2 million views btw), the pushback isn't "your delusional" -- it's "Finn said his mom so..." They're actually engaging in a debate! Can you believe the character growth?! /hk And interestingly, most of the commenterss don't give a damn about the Mileven/Byler war and are freaking out about Steve and El dying. Beileve it or not, most of the audience is apathetic toward the Byler/Milev*n war. And that's exactly where the Duffers wanted people to be coming out of Season 4.
If the show creators continue to not dispel the Byler rumors and continue to TEASE the audience, and as broader and broader sections of the General Audience start talking about the possibility, the next phase of the Great Byler Shift will be various shitty people crying that ST "is gonna go woke" and saying "it was forced." And that's what VICTORY looks like, because they've already started to accept it probably happens. And once Byler happens, the Duffers are almost certainly going to go on record showing how they prepared Byler from Seasons 1/2 and this will be CONFIRMED. The haters really will have nothing to stand on. Like the doomed people on the Titanic, the only thing left to do with your sinking ship is to scream.
They will be shitty, sure. But I'm certain that if Byler is explicitly hinted in Volume 1, then people will see it'll be so much more satisfying than Mileven ever was, which left many feeling tepid.
If Matt Multiverse, a straight guy, can go from saying "It was always Mileven" to being genuinely giddy talking about Byler:
... If Andrew from Reel Rejects (a large reaction channel with 1.4 million subscribers) can say "Look at these adorable love birds" and "I'm telling ya, I feel like these two are gonna get it on" about Mike and Will in their recent reaction to 4x8 (at timestamp):
... then we KNOW that the General Audience will do what it almost always does: it follows and cheers for the relationships in fiction that the writers have properly made you want to cheer for.
I think late 2023 already saw the cracks in the Milev*n armor, with Noah's "you couldn't tell if it was romantic" slip-up at Upside Down Con. But I think we're going to see sections of the armor start to fall.

My personal journey with byler has been.
Figured out will was gay s1e1,
clocked his crush on mike s3, rain fight scene.
I disliking mileven in the early episodes of s3, and was relieved and annoyed at the break up - i hate on again off again relationship drama in tv shows. Ross/rachel, buffy/angel jd/elliot ext, every time a couple breaks up than gets back together makes me like the relationship even less. - so i was groaning cause “great, their starting my most hated love troupe”
s3. Rain fight was when i clocked will liking mike. Confirmed with castle byers.
than s4 happened. & okay mike what was that hug? great continuation of s3 mikeven relationship drama.
mike & el at dinner table “she didn’t look fine” - mike *well hello ted wheeler*
their fighting, “you don’t say it” “yes i do” “you can’t even write it” mike your loterally saying eveything wrong, stop trying to den everything and shift blame, comfort her!
Than he goes to wills room & “no you didn’t do anything wrong i was a jerk” and oh, okay bylers a thing.
i know, i know, late to the party. I clocked everyone but mike. In my defense i already admitted to defeat s1 to the hetro couple being end game. Thats what always happens.
i also stayed out of the fandom till s4, in which case it was mostly just Ga stuff, “whats this monster, whats this mystery” i liked the show but was content enough with what it was giving i didn’t feel the want or need to delve into fandom spaces.
so yeah i clocked byler, on my own. Because of what the show showed me. And not cause i was brain washed or influenced which is the common insult hurdled to
THIS IS A SCREENSHOT ⬇️
okay, i genuinely cannot overstate this: you are doing infinitely more harm by baselessly calling him a “pedo” than any perceived harm he has done by mentioning that (adult!) will may have a sex life.
there can be and ARE real world consequences to accusing someone of this. you are potentially causing real world harm to a person in the name of… what? defending a fictional character who’s played by an adult? you just feel icky about what he said. that’s it. it grossed you out and you think that equates to him doing something wrong. you are making your discomfort his problem. you need to be able to differentiate discomfort from being hurt. please learn how to self soothe.
you may not think it, but this response DOES have to do with homophobia. even if you’re queer you can have a homophobic reaction to things, you’re not exempt. you are spouting the age old stereotype of gay men being sexual predators, and somehow you think you’re the morally superior one? classic. if it’s the kink part that bothers you, know that kink is very intertwined with gay culture, and in this instance w/ the lock (if it’s actually a bdsm symbol) you can’t separate the two. it’s still homophobic.
if you claim it’s the just the sex part that’s wrong, and you’re totally not homophobic at all and you also disagree with stancy/jancy having sex too (why do you watch ST then?) etc etc… you have a flawed relationship with sex and i suggest you look inward. what makes you feel this way? sex is normal. SEX ISN’T BAD. sex is a (common, but not universal) human experience. you probably have some things you need to work through. why are you okay with extreme fictional violence but not the concept of consensual fictional sex? why are you okay with characters suffering through horrors but not with them healthily expressing their sexuality? maybe this is spurred on by the rise of puritanism in US and elsewhere. examine if your thoughts are truly your own opinion or if you’re falling for conservative talking points.
yes, we watched these characters grow up. everyone grows up. their actors are adults now and they will be in the s5 epilogue. i really don’t understand the argument here? if you see a childhood photo/video of your significant other does that now make it wrong for you to be attracted to them? give me a fucking break. yes, he’s a grown man, so what? what’s the age limit for having an open and honest conversation about sexuality?
honestly, now i hope he’s right about what the necklace means so that you all feel horrible for treating him like this. what are you gonna do if it’s true, call the wardrobe department pedos? make a callout post for the duffer bros? tell the actors that they’re being predatory towards their own characters?
accusing him of this is more disgusting than anything he said or could say on this topic. you’re protecting no one and endangering a real person’s reputation and livelihood.
This the same people don’t have a problem with all the thousand other teen shows that explicitly show characters that are suppose to be minors having sx and talking about ‘kinky’ scenes written and filmed by a bunch of adults, (over n over again) but a dude casually mentioning bdsm in regards to a locket in regards to the queer community were it is a important part of thier culture and history, than suddenly he’s a disgusting old pedo?
You want to call this out, fine call out everything else as well than.
