i drew quentin mayor and ant farmer Once. just once. here they are
but it was a long time ago so hmm..... i think i can only draw something that i'm overly interested in. if somebody said "quention mayor/bugbo yaoi" i'd had my ears perked up.
i missed ms paint
father made one extra teapot from isin clay that he claimed was "a failure". he wanted to make a round one, but the result is not quite the thing. i asked for this teapot to be mine, and as a way to seal it, i drew bugbo from one side, and 戦国turb from the other. some may remember a gray bugbo teapot, which eventually got moldy (i was too careless). this one is a second try to possess a bugbo teapot. this one is ginger, and much, much thinner than the gray one; when drawing on it i was careful not to ruin it.
but the shape is indeed ridiculous. watch me fight with my phone camera to capture the drawing.
💢💢💢 this clay is so beautiful and glossy, i can't be mad at it.
small teapots like this are made for brewing small amounts of fresh, strong tea for guest tea parties, a tradition dating back to medieval china. since the spirit of bugbo is sealed within the teapot, the first tea to be brewed was english breakfast.
Im so tired fuck it project hail mary but its bugbo
It's amazed at how much you can love such a niche fandom like Bugbo. Like, look at this art, it could be on the cover of a good anime. And there are also Bugbo teapots. Two of them. That's really cool. I think fans of popular fandoms will never feel such a strong connection
hmm, yeah, i think it's cool how strong niche fandoms can just hold me in a grip. but the downside is, i cannot love popular things just as strongly, resulting in my art being poorly recognized. i thought about whether i want to be popular or just an obscure fan of obscure media. i chose the second option. kinda easier to be happy in a long-run if i don't get spoiled by big numbers and radiate love towards a thing from the very core of my soul at the same time. although it may burn a bit weaker because i feel alone.
Last post before I disappear for exams... See you all in a few days
it seems to me that people who think that an artist who depicts an act of rape in a painting deserves the same punishment as a real rapist simply haven't seen or experienced anything real except paintings and treat them as seriously as their own lives, thereby killing the meaning of art. you can't appreciate art if you haven't seen life with which to compare it.
it's a bit hard to believe but i'll try
i've started learning japanese since 2020. six years, i suppose, but i wouldn't consider myself skillful at it. as i wasn't taking any classes and was my own teacher, my progress is slow. as i recently checked my level is barely even n5. possibly because i'm learning it inconsistently. i can construct simple sentences and visually understand japanese text sometimes, but i'm far from speaking it freely. in fact, i think i only appear skillful because of my household.
my father dreams of life in yixing and thinks it was his home in previous life. over years he collected various traditional items such as chinese brushes, ink, tools for hand-molding clay teapots, a feng shui compass, japanese knives... we have father's ink rice paper paintings around the apartment, he cooks asian food and we eat it with sticks, we have 葫芦 (hulu) hung on windows… he wrote his name in сhinese characters on red paper and hung it in the kitchen, he studied feng shui and bazi, he refers to the past periods in his life historically as the "ming dynasty." since he makes teapots, he often buys different fine varieties of tea, such as oolong and da hong pao. i think this began around the time he visited sakhalin. (the place where ainu people are from, a native minority that existed hundreds of years before modern japanese people, if ykyk...), so it's all connected.
some of my other relatives had been to japan and already know the language. so i may be a little lazy at learning, but i'm surely sarrounded by asian culture and people who are ready to teach me. i'm learning slow, but i'm always reminded that i must study. i just always find new stuff around the house when i walk around. i think it explains a lot. my own interest in the language is taught to me from childhood, so i'm just naturally centering my art and online presence around it.

happy (late) birthday!
うわあぁ🥺 so cute. watte is peeved as always, with dramatic shadow on her face. she probably dislikes the noise. canon. thank you!
a noble anon on a white horse is trying to reveal to me the truth that by following someone on the internet you automatically connect to their entire belief system like a bio-symbiote and wants to protect me from a difficult, disgraced fate… but just telling me at least a name or, even more so, leaving a link to evidence is too much
