Do you think cavemen ever got humiliated and had the kms urge? Like "Grug so embarrassed, Grug jump into tar pit" and then Glarg is like "Noooo everyone forget soon" and Grug is like "Grug going to do it for real"
remembering that time i got drunk and told a guy he looked like a wrought iron gate
he didnt respond to my observation. just sorta stood there
... much like something else i know of
I wish we had more female characters like Eleanor Shellstrop. One of the most unlikable people you've ever met. Read a Buzzfeed article on most rude things you can do on a daily basis and decided to use that as a list of goals. Makes everyone's day worse just by being there. Dropped a margarita mix on the ground and tried to pick it up, only to get hit by a row of shopping carts which pushed her into the road where she was hit by a boner pill delivery truck, killing her instantly. Cannot keep a romantic partner despite being bisexual. Had a terrible childhood but will die before she gets therapy. Best employee at a scam company. Just the worst but also can't help but root for her to improve.
Absolute loser. Girl-failure. Bad at almost everything. Literally perfect female character.
“Robert Pattinson showed up with iPhone voice recordings and had already nailed the voice for ‘THE BOY AND THE HERON’ before recording started. It was his first ever voice role and he finished in 2 days.” (source)
I feel like Robert Pattinson has had a similar career trajectory as Daniel Radcliffe where he got all his money from a major franchise and now he just gets to have fun and do weird movies
"War crime is a category which is starting to sound meaningless to us because everything we do qualifies as one" is not the brilliant defense of your actions you think it is
if grug honest grug a bit of a faggot.
grug picking a different kind of fruit if you catch grug meaning. hunting a different type of bear.

Here are some more favs I’ve collected
Seen some posts about how it's a good idea to watch OFMD with non-fandom people and see what they think. Watched the first three eps with my parents and they had some great takes
My mom was righteously upset that Stede isn't wearing any fun outfits. "He must be so sad!"
She was also really sad that Ed crashed a wedding. "It didn't even look like a fun wedding," I said. "Yeah," she goes, "but what if that happened at my wedding? :((("
My dad said he didn't like the first episode and seemed really anxious the whole time. Upon prompting, it's because he's the biggest Lucius/Pete fan on earth and he was just upset Lucius wasn't there. "No wonder Pete was so grumpy!"
The wedding cake toppers actually made my mom cry. We had to pause the episode.
When Lucius showed up my dad literally jumped out of his chair like he was watching a sports game. I had to spoil them getting married because he would not stop asking me if they get married this season.
The biggest and most surprising thing is how much they, two old straight people, really loved the reunion mermaid scene. I'd been prepared for them to think it was too weird since it is so unapologetically sweet and camp and just queer. They fucking loved it and wouldn't stop talking about it. Just proves that forcing queer content to be sanitized "for the straights" is a pure nonsense.
I'm glad all of you seem to love my dad, who loves Lucius and Pete so so so much. Some additional Dad Lore for you:
He's Very Bad at staying awake for TV shows (in typical dad fashion) and all he knew going in to season 1 was that it was a romcom. He was very surprised when Ed and Stede kissed, not because he thought the show wasn't a gay show, but because he managed to snooze in the right order to assume that Lucius and Pete were the main couple and Ed and Stede's romance kinda drifted past his radar. I think this is the root of what's going on with how he interprets this show.
He is a Certified Izzy Hater, not for any of the typical reasons, but because Izzy smacked Pete's head that one time and that's just an unforgiveable offense apparently
He doesn't have a similar beef with Ed for pushing Lucius overboard because apparently he thinks Lucius is "more resilient." Pete is just my dad's special little blorbo I guess.
He also had a bone to pick with Fang until I explained to him that polyamory exists and Lucius didn't break up with Pete to be with Fang
He does like Stede and Ed's story, it's just obviously taking a backseat to the main event, which is apparently Lucius and Pete. He thinks that everything Lucius and Pete do is, like, reflective of overarching show plotlines and shit (during ep 2 he was like yeah. yeah. this is foreshadowing about how Ed and Stede are gonna get back together but they're gonna have to struggle with talking to each other first.) He has coherent things to say about the main plot otherwise. He just consumes media in a way that is weird. Not bad. just weird.
there's a tortoise at work and he's 30 years old and I love that he's 30 years old because I can look at this animal that is 3 years older than me and go "does the man want his appy slices??" and he hustles over cause the man do want his appy slices
The teenager at my job is so funny, she jokingly asked how my break was after I came back from the bathroom and after I said "can't a bitch change their pad in peace?" She said "a real nine to fiver would get a hysterectomy." There was no hesitation, no gap between what I said and what she said
as soon as i learn to stop being ashamed of taking up space it's over for you all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I know SEVERAL afab nonbinary people who, as soon as they came out as nonbinary - immediately began dressing in ridiculous hyper-femme outfits they never would have worn before. A lot of people see this and say shit like “Theyfab” or say they are only nonbinary for attention. After all, look how femme they are.
But to me, this makes perfect sense. When you are forced into the category of “woman” against your will, femininity is a chore. It’s a job that you have. As soon as you say no, I’m not a woman, suddenly femininity isn’t your job anymore. It’s not a requirement. It’s just a fun hobby you can get into. Or a little treat sometimes.
