Dug out my Tumblr account to purge
So i finished university at the end of May, and graduated mid July with a 2:1.
Its been 3 long months of searching for a job, granted i haven't been fully committing myself to the job hunt, mainly because i don't know what I'm looking for, yet id say i still managed to search at least once a week. Plus, I've applied for over 15 jobs thus far.
Its not the rejections or the lack of replies from companies that is really starting to bother me its the fact that i don't have the motivational drive because i don't know what the hell i want to do.
Do well in school they said, go to college they said, complete a university BA Hons and strive for a 2:1 they said; a 2:1 opens doors...what utter bullshit.
If i had a hobby or a passion, even if its fucking knitting. at least i could try to turn that into a career.
So frustrated at 22 and it feels like a major deal but i know its irrelevant in the grand scheme of things and i ‘have time’ to figure it out.
Hopefully something will click, but even then i feel like people only hire you if you have “5 years” of experience under your belt. Give me the fucking experience, how else do i get it?
