Ciao! I’m Lisa, an Italian gardening enthusiast who’s recently taken on a thrilling new project—building my very own glasshouse in New Zealand. Inspired by the lush gardens of Italy, where fresh herbs and vegetables are at the heart of every meal, I’ve set out to recreate that experience in my new home. With my glasshouse now complete, I’m diving into the exciting world of growing: experimenting with different seeds, figuring out the perfect timing, and arranging my plants just right to maximize their growth. In this blog, I’ll take you through the process of starting to grow in a glasshouse, from sowing the first seeds to fine-tuning the layout of my garden. I’ll share tips on choosing the right plants, timing your crops, and discovering what works best in this controlled environment. Whether you're new to glasshouse gardening or looking for inspiration to improve your own setup, join me as I explore the ins and outs of growing fresh, flavorful veggies and herbs in a New Zealand glasshouse, with a little Italian flair.
