I really do think it’s hilariously funny that their positions have swapped and now Dennis is the one in denial while Mac is the one patiently waiting for Dennis to open his eyes about what is really going on

What's funny is Dennis keeps acting like Mac is flirting with him and like he has to shoot him down, but Mac literally has not flirted with him at all this episode let alone this season. Mac is the one who is constantly saying "we are not dating by the way" and Dennis is like omggg staahhhpp flirting I'm so totally straight. And then of coirse at the very end when Dennis monologuing all the things they are (the joke being he calls himself classy when we know that is not the case) he also says he's straight. So either everything he said in his monologue was a lie EXCEPT that, or he is also NOT straight jjst like he isn't classy.
