The island is silent save for the leaves whipping through the trees and the odd chirp of crickets. The nymphs, per Circe’s instructions had hidden themselves away in the rooms of her Palacial home. This was her domain and she ruled absolutely.

She moves beyond the trees until her bare feet feel the grainy crunch of sand, flanked by two lionesses. It was quite a sight to behold. Dull in the eyes of the Gods but striking to mortals and those that dwelled on earth, Circe stood, auburn hair billowing, deep blue robes like the night’s sky draped across her willowy form. At her waist sat a thin wand of willow, holstered like a sword.

“Welcome traveller, are you friend or foe?”

Her tone and posture both said the same thing; answer carefully stranger.
