This quick photo-sketch is a sort of blend between a digital-scroll and movie frames. it's just of some stuff on my bed while I was cleaning my room (that doesn't happen often so I felt an urge to document what it looked like - except I only documented the bit that was still messy). I really wanted to approach film making more like I would an art project than a typical film project. It all started from some sketches and canvases that I did a while back (some of the paintings I posted up on here a while back). I drew my ideas from the recurring images in my work. To begin with the aim had been to make a short animation but time rapidly devoured that idea and I was left in a panicky state trying to figure out how to transfer the idea to live action footage. Okay, so I set myself a checklist of things to do each day and one of them is to sketch for at least 2 hours (that includes time spent looking and thinking). I sat down in the dining room and looked out at the garden as the weather became greyer and started top rain. This was the first sketch I did after making that checklist. Also I wanted to try out some of my new pens.
