What are you working on? What is your next project?
The first few chapters of a sequel to Roots. Trying to get a few of them in reserve before I start publishing. This story takes place a few months after Roots ends, in the winter. Some key elements: snow, mountains, reunions, a disappearance, a mystery, Dalish traditions, travel.
These are more like simultaneous projects, since the drafts already exist and I'll probably work on them any time I need a tone shift.
Still thinking about / drafting very slowly an Arlathan-era Mythal POV. She's at the height of her power, she and Elgar'nan are so in love. Solas is around, scheming (but loyally, so loyally). Under everything is a growing sense of paranoia and Mythal is doing her best to keep it all under control without ever showing a hint of weakness.
A Regency(ish) AU. This has taken a few different shapes in my head over the past year. Now, it's a dreamy Solas POV. An enormous house, a mysterious (and sometimes cruel) widow, strange things happening at night, and so on. Maybe a bit more Gothic than Regency these days.
After rereading the entire Veronica Speedwell series, and then realizing there are only 2 fics for it on AO3 (!!!), I have a vague idea that I'd like to attempt to write a fic for that fandom eventually. I think I could probably pull off Veronica's voice. But it would be first person, and very distinct from the Dragon Age narration I write, so I think it would be hard to bounce back and forth between this and DA, which is why it's on the back-back-back burner.
