I have this intense fear of forgetting. I do not want to forget. Not the good or the bad. I want to remain whole. I want the memory of my existence to live on unblemished.

I do not wish to fade away or to live in another's mind. I want to remember every excruciating little detail of my life, all of it, all at once, for the rest of time.

Perhaps this is the fear of being forgotten in a way. Almost as if the loss of even the smallest detail of my being would erase me or, more accurately, it would change me. The loss of a single detail would create a new version of me, one who exists without that detail at all and therefore is not truly me at all.

I recently made this art piece on ibis paint x. I tried to replicate traditional oil painting techniques on a virtual canvas which was pretty fun but I did really struggle with the flower lol
