For everyone of us US Folks that are going to have to live through the next four years of hell, I just want to remind you that it's perfectly understandable to invest in any and every one of your offline interests going forward. Doomscrolling the next four years of our lives isn't going to help us at all, especially with TikTok essentially becoming a right-wing leaning platform overnight and Meta doing whatever they can to fall in line with Trump. Invest in yourself and your people (friends, family) by investing in your own offline interests and hobbies. Create that small little comfort zone and world that'll help you and your people get through the next four years. Buy your favorite movies (physically!), buy more books (physically!), rebuy those childhood consoles or video games you no longer have, build up a stock of LEGOs to build or collect whatever it is that'll help bring you a sense of joy and escapism. Do whatever it is you need to do to in order to create an offline world or ecosystem that makes you and your people feel a sense of safety.

Well, I like to think of it as a lesser it two evils. Before the Biden administration, I was not a Trump supporter. I grew up in a very liberal household so I was told that Trump was basically the devil.
So, I started doing my own research about two years ago. I saw my family struggle through the Biden administration and Harris didn't seem to do much as VP for the last four years.
I know a lot of liberals will say that Trump hates women or black people or whatever, but from how I've seen him interact during rallies I don't find that argument to be true, at least jot completely.
Long story short, my main concern for our country is the economy. I also agree with Trump's beliefs regarding border control and abortion.
I also believe that Harris would have lead us to a third world war because I truly don't think she would've been a good president. I don't think I would've been able to trust her with the economy and how she spent her campaign money shows that. She's in dept right now because she spent so much money on influencers and the sphere in Vegas (already blue).
So in conclusion, it just seemed like common sense to me as Trump aligned with the majority of my beliefs and Harris simply didn't. Harris didn't prove to be the best option in my opinion.
I hope you look back at this post in a year and see just how you are. When our economy is in tatters, seniors are out on the streets and homeless, women are dying needlessly, children are starving, countries are lining up to invade because we have a weak military. You wonât be able to eat without fear of dying. You wonât be able to afford food or goods due to tariffs.

You, rightfully, desired all the money you needed, but decided to wait for a theoretical third person to come give you ten dollars instead of accepting the five and moving on, and now you have zero dollars.
This is the 2024 election. Harris might not be everything youâve ever wanted in a president, but she is promising a good deal of progress and is committed to a ceasefire in Gaza. Trump is not. Refusing to vote will let Trump win, and you will have zero progress, in fact, there will likely be negative progress.

Over the last few years Republicans have used local school boards to ban books, stop the teaching of sex ed, the teaching of black history, and to ban any mention of LGBT people in schools. It is amazingly easy to reach out to local school board candidates and ask them, directly, about their views on subjects, I've done it and always gotten an answer. So find out who's running in your community and what they believe, pay attention, don't just fill out the top of your ballot and call it good, vote all the way down, and if you can't find out, ask directly.
i just pray that whoever ends up in office actually cares about children and their safety rather than an agenda.
