River Blackwelder

River is the son of a a prominent blacksmith family that services the royal family. Thanks to his family’s closeness with the royals and his own closeness in age (and friendship) with Princess Zelda, the late King offered to make him a part of the Royal Guard once he came of age. In a similar fashion to Blaze Tailleur, son of the royal tailors, River has been trained for the Royal Guard from childhood. The trio (Blaze, River, and the Princess) are very close.

Love to make complicated bits of my character designs that I will 100% abandon when I get around to making this comic. Varotta’s glasses are so cool but…. I have to draw them….

(I also should definitely draw her with Link more, the Gerudo being giant is so fun and so hard to fit into frame)
