Something big is coming…

A little something I worked on at Nathan Love.

More ‘Menehunes’ stuff done for Nickelodeon.

This was the first pass at the characters and the environments. The characters were more like little creatures at this stage, with big ears, antennae, claws and pointy teeth. The environments grew more bright and colorful as the process went along.

A little while back, I had the opportunity to design backgrounds and characters for ‘Menehunes’, a short for Nickelodeon’s shorts program. It was a super fun project with tiny industrious creatures living in the jungles of Hawaii. You can watch it here.

Here are a bunch of backgrounds I made with lots of small contraptions. I’ll put up some characters soon.

'A Whole New Ballgame’ is out!

I recently illustrated this book by the awesome Phil Bildner for Farrar, Straus and Giroux. It’s a great story about two best friends who love basketball.

And a special thanks to editor Wes Adams and designer Andrew Arnold for bringing me on this awesome project.
