『 lovie simone. twenty-one. cisfemale. she/her. 』 oh heavens, is that LATISHA ‘TISHA’ ROBERTS from MAIN STREET i see roaming around mapleview? minnie may’s always calling them SELFISH & INDULGENT. i happen to think they’re not that bad! they’re a pretty cool RECEPTIONIST at ROOSTER INN and every time i’ve seen them, they’ve always been CONFIDENT & SPIRITUAL . i hope i see them around again!

Tisha Roberts was born to Daniel and Vanna Roberts on February 15th 1999. She has two older siblings with a 10 and 13 year age gap. 

She grew up in Mapleview. She lived with her parents and siblings and her maternal grandparents all under one roof. In fact, most of her extended family live in Mapleview or neighboring towns too. 

Tisha enjoyed growing up with so much family around. She was constantly with cousins - they grew up together as if they were brothers and sisters. 

Her family however, were a very devout Christian one and that caused tension as Tisha grew. 

As she got older, more and more Tisha found herself disenchanted and unbelieving of God and Christianity. So much so that by the time she was 18, she had decided to stop going to Church. A decision her parents and grandparents were not happy with. 

It also didn’t help that her spirituality grew in a different direction. Tisha wouldn’t call herself a witch; but she believes in and practices very similar spiritual beliefs. 

Crystals and herbs and greenery dominate Tisha’s life now. She strives to feel as connected to Mother Earth as she can and to honor it. She lives a clean lifestyle; she doesn’t drink or smoke or do drugs. 

She has also realised that she is asexual in the last several years. 

Tisha has lived in a shared house with friends since she was 19. She decided to forgo college; a decision again that her family was not happy about. And instead works at the Rooster Inn as a front desk receptionist. 

She is currently very happy with her life even though she does miss the closeness with her family.

Halloween, or Samhain as she celebrated it, was usually a day not spent doing fun, commercial things for Tisha. But, the weeks leading up to it, she had no problem doing all sorts of ‘spooky’ things. Which was why she was now making her way towards the Haunted House. It was hard to scare Tisha but as she made her way closer she noticed a rather familiar face and laughed a little when Aria made her way over, asking if she wanted company. 

“Company is always good in a haunted house. At least of the living variety,” Tisha teased, unable to help herself as she smirked at the other woman. “I didn’t realise you got spooked so easily…”

Aria was pleasantly surprised when she recognized Tisha, her smile widening a bit more. “What? No way, I don’t get spooked easily.” She defensively replied, glancing at the house. “I just..I just don’t want anything happening to you. What kind of friend would I be if I just let you wander into a haunted house by yourself?” Aria playfully asked, shooting Tisha a small smirk. “However, if you see me scream or punch something, it was all part of the plan.” She nodded, turning to continue the way to the house.

The closer they got, the more the popcorn scent began to make her stomach rumble. “Hey, you up for grabbing some food after? Something about eating at a diner after getting scared sounds like the perfect way to end the evening of spooks.”

Tisha smiled, laughing a little as Aria insisted that she wasn’t spooked easily. She snorted a little at the next words out of her mouth, screwing her face up playfully. “Oh, is that what it is? Hm. I could’ve sworn I was tryna do the same for you...” she teased. She snorted then at her words, nodding her head towards the Haunted House. “Come on then. Better just go for it. I’ll even let you hold my hand if you get too scared...”

She grinned then and nodded. “Yes. I’m definitely down for food after. I haven’t eaten since I had lunch...” she mused, nodding. They got closer to the house then and Tisha grinned, excited for the scares to come. She knew nothing could really hurt them in the house and she enjoyed getting a little scared. 

we were talking about whether aliens are real or not in the car earlier and my brother looked out the window longingly and said “if aliens arent real then why can i feel them in my heart”

COME ONE, COME ALL TO MAPLEVIEW’S HAUNTED HOUSE ATTRACTION!   

The sign was vibrant with color and festive decorations all around it. It was hard not to notice it and even harder to ignore it. Like the groundhog on Groundhog Day, Aria seemed to only come out of her place of residence once a year. It seemed today she picked the right day. Her feet led the way down the path of signs (each on decorated with a ghost or pumpkin) that led to where the house stood. And, the closer she got, the scent of fresh air-popped popcorn gently wrapped her up in a comforting way. The buttery scent was soon mixed in with that of cotton candy in the making just as the haunted house attraction came to view. The house itself gave her the chills from just looking at it, instantly telling her that perhaps she’d need a buddy before entering the place. Not giving much forethought to the situation, she approached the first individual she saw heading towards the place. “Would you mind a bit of company through a haunted house?”

august had decided to go out for lunch instead of ordering something. his father was out sick at the moment so he was getting away with not being at the office for longer periods without any scrutiny. he was sat down at a booth in the sunrise diner, his current file on the table next to him. he was representing some guy who was accused of murdering his wife. while he wasn’t too happy about who his father’s firm represented, it’s what got him his house and tesla that was parked outside. he side, reading up on the evidence a little lost in his own world. he noticed something moving beside him. “excuse me, could i get another cup of coffee.” He hummed, eyes not leaving the file.

The sunrise diner was chock full of greasy food and usually Tisha tried to avoid eating anything too greasy. But sometimes you just craved something greasy and unhealthy. The burger in front of her looked so good and so did the fries that came with it. Unfortunately, there was no ketchup on her table. Standing, she moved to the booth just across from her with a smile. The smile faded however, when she heard the words out of the guy’s mouth. 

She scoffed. “I’m not a waitress,” Tisha told him, voice dripping with disdain. “Can I have your ketchup?” she was unimpressed.

Tisha didn’t exactly know why she was invited to the wedding; in fact it seemed very much like publicity of some kind for the Mayor. But she attended anyway. Any excuse really to be able to dress up and be out among people. Not that she was stuck at home and away from people often, she just liked to feel other’s energy. 

The ceremony had been beautiful and the Mayor and his new wife had looked so happy and in love. Tisha wanted that for herself one day. For now though, she was content to slip away from her table and head for the bar. She leant against it, giving the bartender a serene smile. “Mineral water, please,” she asked of him. She didn’t drink alcohol. She turned then, while she waited, smiling at the person next to her.

“It was a lovely wedding, don’t you think?”

Grace was a little surprised she had gotten an invite but from the looks of the room a good chunk of the town if not all of the town got an invite to this wedding. But she was happy she had come, she was big on weddings and also a night out was exactly what she needed. The brunette was also happy that her table had people she liked and had someone she actually knew so she wasn’t making awkward conversations to strangers all night. She had left her table to grab some drinks at the bar. Her attention turned to the other person there who was smiling at her. “Oh it was beautiful. I’m a sucker for weddings so I probably wasted a good handful of tissues.”

Tisha had just taken a sip of her mineral water when the other woman answered and she grinned, nodding. “You cried? Do you...know the Mayor and his new wife?” she asked curiously, head tilting as she studied the brunette. Most people knew the Mayor casually, you couldn’t go anywhere in Mapleview without knowing about the Mayor. “It is sweet though. It seems very them.”

              the fact mayor levi decided to invite the entire town to his wedding reception truly didn’t  surprise  alana , after all , the man was a show-off for as long as she knew him  (  &  her father was friends with ) .  however , she was surprised that everyone  a c t u a l l y   showed up .  sure , she  h a d  to attend because their families were connected , but if they weren’t the blonde undoubtedly would rather spend her night someplace else .                      fighting the urge to roll her eyes every time mayor levi spun his newlywed wife around the dance floor  (  believing love nothing more than a simple  infatuation  )  ,  the blonde stood up from her table  &  quickly made her way over to the bar to wash down her feelings .  “  yeah , sure , “  she replied , trying her best to sound genuine as she awaited for her whisky .  “  a bit much , though , “

Tisha let out a laugh, cradling her drink in her hands, at the reply. She grinned a little, shrugging a shoulder. “It is a little much. You’re right. But...it seems very Mayor Levi. Or...you know, what I know of him at least,” Tisha replied, sipping her mineral water with ease. “I guess...uh, if they’re happy with it though...”

The wedding had been beautiful. Pax loved love, so of course they had thought so. With the ceremony over, everyone was no gathering at the reception. They were trying not to drink too much that night, but they figured a drink or two wouldn’t hurt. making their way over to the bar, they order themself a drink, turning to look at the person speaking to them. “It was. They seem really happy. That’s the important thing, right?”

“Oh, definitely,” Tisha nods, smiling at Paxton. “It’s their wedding day. I’d be so worried if they weren’t happy. In fact, I don’t think I’ve ever seen Mayor Levi so happy before,” Tisha explains with a light laugh and a shrug. She glances around the whole reception curiously then, before looking back at Pax. “I still can’t believe they invited the whole town though. That’s...it’s weird right?”

after a brief conversation with his mother and her request for a drink, atticus makes his way to the bar. he’s not complaining, already deciding that he’s going to have a couple of drinks to get himself a little more in the mood. not only that, but he needs to let his guard down just enough so that he’s not worrying about running into certain someone. it’s in the back of his mind, causing him to look over his shoulder and the reception’s barely begun. a smile spreads across his lips at tisha’s question, and he nods in response. “ it was. they seem very happy together and clara looks beautiful. are you enjoying yourself so far? ”

“They really do,” Tisha replied with a grin and a nod. She smiled wider then, keeping her full attention on Atticus for a moment. “And of course Clara looks beautiful. It’s her wedding day. She’s supposed to be the most beautiful one here,” Tisha said with a light laugh and a smile. “Sure,” she nods, leaning against the bar a little. “It’s all a bit cheesy but it’s not too bad. What about you? Having fun?” she asked.

She looked amused, eyebrows raised at his words. “That’s sounding awfully philosophical… Just the effect of being at a wedding?” she asked with a bit of a laugh. She turned back to the bar then, her mineral water placed in front of her and she picked it up with a grin, taking a sip. She laughed, nodding at his words. “Yeah, I’m surprised too. As for my music taste? It’s…eclectic I like to say. But rnb and soul really resonate, you know? Solange, FKA Twigs, Levan Kali, Willow… And I gotta admit, I’m not immune to all that female rap coming up right now,” Tisha told him honestly. “What about you? What do you like to listen to?”

Luca chuckled. “Could be that or i’m just a major douche who likes to sound smart,” he joked. He listened intently, as music was definitely the key to figuring out what people were into beyond it. “I’d like to say I’m definitely a bit of everywhere but definitely the rnb, hip hop, some soul, hell, even a bit of country sometimes, depending on the artist. Tinashe, J.Cole, Bruno, of course, even some Bantu, Xavier Omar. I’m a bit of everywhere clearly,” he stated. “I wouldn’t admit this publicly but I trust you, I’ve definitely done the WAP dance, maybe more than once. Female rappers are killing it.”

Tisha laughed at his words, shaking her head a little. “You wouldn’t be too different from most other guys then,” she told him, though she was smiling. She didn’t think Lucas was a douche; at least not so far. She had to grin then, as he explained his own music taste, nodding approvingly at his choices. “There’s nothing wrong with that. And they’re all good artists...” Tisha murmured back, taking a sip of her drink. She let out a snort then, as he mentioned doing the WAP dance. “You have? Well....I mean, there’s no harm in trying it,” she teased a little. She may have tried it once or twice herself. She nodded then. “They really are. I don’t really listen to male rappers anymore,” she admitted with a shrug.

Tisha laughed, not quite sure what he meant by Mapleview standards. It didn’t exactly sound like a good thing. She shrugged then, turning to face the man a little more. “It really does fit them. Or at least, seems like it does. I don’t know either of them personally…” Tisha told him with a shrug and a grin. She laughed outright then, grimacing a little. “Well…they are kind of…old. And cheesy,” she admitted about the music. “Some of it’s good though. Though not much my type of music at all.” 

Luca decided to turn his attention to the conversation, choosing to be in the moment. “Fair enough but does anyone really know anyone?” He wasn’t trying to be philosophical, despite it coming off that way. “Most of them, surprised I saw some Bruno on there,” he said with a smile. “Definitely music I’ve heard before but also not my vibe. What kind of music are you into? Or maybe artists, seeing as genre is a little tricky nowadays.”

Nursing a glass of whiskey, Luca observed the room, not really doing much socializing. That was until someone started socializing with him. He let out a low laugh.·“Lovely by Mapleview standards, sure. Really fits Mayor Levi and Clara though. Some of the music choices though, yikes.”

         “Tisha Roberts, is that you?” Her eyes wide as she took in the figure before her, hardly being able to recognize the young teenager she once knew. “I haven’t seen you since you were, what? Fifteen? Sixteen? Jesus, you’ve gotten .. tall.” The woman being an actual representation of how much a difference five years could make. “How are you? How’s the family doing?”

It took a moment for Tisha to realise just who the woman in front of her was and when she did, she grinned. “Mercy!” she breathed happily. It felt like forever since she’d seen the older woman. Not since she was just a teenager herself. “It is and I was sixteen, I believe,” Tisha replied easily, smile wide and genuine. She shrugged at her words. “I don’t think I’ve gotten that much taller. But you...you look good,” she told her softly, letting her eyes run over Mercy curiously. “I’m good. Great even. And the family is...good. As always. You know how they are,” she said lightly. She didn’t talk much with her family any more but she didn’t feel the need to get into it especially at a wedding.

amani couldn’t help looking around during the ceremony, terribly conscious of other people’s eyes on her. “they’re not staring at you,” she told herself. “they’re just using their eyes and moving their heads. it’s normal.” she let out a little, shuddery breath, anxious as ever. she wore her princess-inspired azure ensemble for herself, but it turned out that her discomfort with the idea of people looking at her would still prick at her. “i really should’ve worn a veil. but it is someone else’s wedding after all. a veil’s for the bride.” || @mapleviewstarters​

Tisha had been watching the woman in the azure dress talk to herself for a while now. The other woman looked nervous and she wondered why. It wasn’t as if she were the one getting married. Stepping closer, she grinned a little as she overheard what the woman was saying to herself.

“It’s a good thing you’re not the bride then, isn’t it? Besides, your dress is gorgeous. I think a veil might ruin it...”
