Imagine putting a man in prison because he doesn't want to kill himself
for anyone who wishes to live vicariously (from r/nuclearrevenge)
@reallyprofoundkryptonite @krattgirl124 @tittybender can we have one. please. for me to do this exact thing with.
Of course darling
I fear the first one may just be canon but here’s my D&D AU :)
Do not ask where bro got the blunt. That is between him (and his husband) his boots are just human boots stuffed with tissue paper and strapped in place. I thought it was funny.
I’m actually using him in a campaign ran entirely Hometree by the lovely @healingcorvid (ilysm my love, <3) and one of the other party members is the glorious@tittybender (sneaky I don’t know if you have tumblr.)
anyway I may be drawing more of him because according to lore he uses his tail to help him climb and he can hang from it or grapple with it. His horns… I have ideas.
Also yes he’s missing his tail tip. Working in engineering for as long as the old fart has, I doubt he’ll be completely whole.
Also his gem titties are because he didn’t pay to keep his nipples.
@sneakysh-t :)
“never kill yourself” is such a funny phrase to me that i think it’s accidently started working. its like an affrimation. say ‘never kill yourself’ enough times as a joke and maybe you won’t try to kill yourself over minor inconviences anymore
Hush and Jazz are a thing, so they need a ship name I guess. Thus far I've gotten a few suggestions.
Silent Disco
Hazz
HushJazz (the boring answer lol)
If yall have a preferred one or another suggestion entirely, I'd love to hear it.
Hash is slang for weed so that could work too
How would Magnus wear an Xmas hat?

the best time to consume media is like 5 years after its peak popularity
It’s all a certain Anon’s fault, my hand slipped.
I think for SIxshot to save First Aid, there must be more than “this Autobot saved my life, so I owe him once”. Sixshot is a Decepticon, after all, although there’s a certain level of humanity in him, he is not that sentimental. But with his already bloomed doubt to the Decapticon cause, plus the downfall of everything he has, he might feel enough is enough and finally decide to make some change. I guess Sixshot appreciates those with a strong will, and First Aid is strong in spark, despite the ordeal and lost he had suffered.
(eRRR, look at all the typos… please ignore them ><)

I do want to say I am really upset about the way people are treating Collosal without doing any research.
Sure their goal right now is direwolves and wooly mammoths but did anyone actually look into their primary purpose for that stuff? They are seeing if it's possible with less genetic information and guesses because they plan to use the scientific technology to bring back animals on the verge of extinction or who have gone extinct within our lifespans.
These animals they are making are tests, and sure that sounds horrible, these are real life animals they are making that will exist, but those three direwolves appear to be the only ones they plan to make for a long while.
The wooly mouse was a test to see that hair gene survived and could be transferred to an already living animal because they are planning to use living existing animals for these embryos.
There are so many extinct animals that we don't have the genetic information for, they are testing to see how close they can get to those animals which existed long ago using our modern understanding of them.
Are jackals closer to direwolves genetically? Yes.
Are modern jackals way too small for birthing an animal that large to be safe? Also yes.
Colossal has been something I've been watching with rapt attention because their work could save thousands of animal species from extinction and sure they're making dinosaurs but you have to consider what their long term goal is, it's de-extintion not of the dinosaurs but of modern animals.
Another thing I noticed is people upset that they can't publish research papers but they don't seem to recognize that research papers tied to big projects like this are typically copyrighted and protected because of how recent the information and study is. It can take years for studies to be made public especially when it's something as big as this. These things take time, you can't rush science or nature.
Now I can explain the reason why they probably kept the direwolves under lock and key from public eye.
Something like that? Without proof they would get as big as they have, and without proof that they would survive as long as they have, would have been further criticized. On top of that as many have noticed it doesn't appear that the public is very patient for updates.
On every storytime post if the next part isn't posted immediately, even if the first part was only posted seconds ago, there's a lot of outrage and aggression towards the poster.
No one would have wanted to wait 6 months to see how large these wolves would get or watch their growth, that's why they keep these things secret. So that when they release it they can show that they were successful.
Now was focusing on essentially dinosaurs a big foolish? Yes, but it's the attention they need to get better funding. I see so many people talking about how they should be focusing on saving modern animals instead of ancient ones but they are, that is their primary focus they just need the technology to be perfect first.
Anyways this was a rant into the void and no one but my 2 friends will see it but it feels very important to me.
NVM they're bringing back dinosaurs help they're building Jurassic park

I reblogged this without any commentary earlier but all my life I have seen creature artists in sci-fi films battle tooth and nail against the Hollywood marketing definition of what a friendly or cute alien species is allowed to look like and these designs absolutely fly in the face of those standards - even the Prawns in District 9 were pushed more humanoid from their earliest designs, and had to be given big puppy dog eyes to get final approval! But these are undeniably cute by actual mainstream standards, at least right now in a culture that has at last embraced tardigrades, cephalopods and various crustaceans as charming. The way you can see all the animals the animators studied - not just relevant invertebrates but pigs, elephants and baby armadillos - is also impressive. They truly put loving, careful thought into forms of cuteness that are not based on kittens or puppies or babies. Finally.
i like the phrases "it's not for me," "it's not my thing," and "i'm not the target audience" because they're the most concise way to express "this thing that you enjoy has merits but idgaf about it" without being aggressive
game reviewers are weird
This is actually what I find happens with Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora and anyone who actually plays Ubisoft games because they like games instead of because they hate Ubisoft.
"I didn't have any fun playing the game about becoming one with nature because the game punished me for shooting everything and everyone with a gun because I ignored the warnings that the game punishes you for shooting everything and everyone with a gun" is a common one I see from people who actually play the game
Two actually most common bad reviews I see are either "game reviewer said it's bad so it's bad" or "Ubisoft bad because cost money" like am I the only person who finds these games costing this much reasonable? And by that I mean the 60 dollar cost for these games, people tend to look at the most special special edition of these games (pretty much unnecessary if you just want to enjoy the game itself) and then scream and get angry over the game costing 120, dollars WHICH IT DOESN'T
I paid the 120 dollars because I wanted to support the game, I wanted the extra cool things it gives you. It's completely unnecessary though, for the enjoyment of the game, I would have found the game enjoyable without paying 120 dollars for it.
60 dollars seems like a reasonable price for a game nowadays if you want to pay your workers well, and as far as I'm aware Ubisoft actually pays it's people well.
Another common complaint I see about the game from people who actually play it is that they don't like that they can't play at the rda and kill all Navi and I instantly know that those people are likely just racist bigots and I can ignore their opinion on anything.
Another complaint I see about this game is that "it's too hard to make good armor" however if you actually spent time trying very hard you would learn that the materials get better over time and that you need to actually fix and work on repairing Pandora before you can get super high quality materials. The locations of the super high quality materials aren't even that hidden, they game tells you exactly where to find them, and if you're having extra trouble? There are several actual useful guides online, and I mean several.
If you play the game to enjoy the game you will enjoy the game, even without perfect graphics. The game tries its hardest to immerse you in its environment and its storyline, and if it's not personally the right game for you that's alright, but the game is objectively not a bad game.
you know how some people sleep with guns or knives under their pillows for protection? KEEP YOUR KNIGHT IN YOUR BED INSTEAD!! FOR SAFETY REASONS!! THAT'S YOUR LIVING WEAPON!!!! #mylivingweapon
bu the armour :(
guess they'll have to take it off smh
You should also keep an assassin with you then, they're more used to defending themselves without armor, they can defend the knight and you while the knight puts on clothes to protect you
Just be careful because assassins are nocturnal and can grow lethargic if they're expected to stay in the bed 100% of the night. Just like with all living tools, assassins do have functional brains and needs. It's always safest to allow them full run of the room so they can stretch out. And if you don't let them sleep during the day, they may grow restless and make a mistake that ends up costing one or both of you your lives. Sleep with the assassin in the room, and use the knight during the day.
While it IS true that assassins and knights can be rather violent toward one another, they aren't bred enemies like knights and dragons are. As long as your knight and assassin are properly socialized to each other, they can form a wonderful working relationship and sometimes even friendship! They have similar signs of distress and while knights tend to be more extroverted than assassins, knights understand when assassins need them to back off for a while so they can do other things. Assassins also find knight armor fascinating and sometimes can help strengthen your knight's defenses if they have a good enough relationship.
Always be careful choosing which weapons to stock your castle with, but definitely cover your bases!
