I'm almost a month late to the conversation but I wonder the impact pokopia will have on future AC entries. I've seen ppl say pokopia is eating animal crossing's lunch and it is true in many ways, although I strongly strongly believe that AC has something unique that will never make it obsolete.

I'm sure AC will incorporate lessons from pokopia in the future but we're 5-6 years into the development cycle of the next entry so I wonder if we will see that impact in the next game or even later than that.

either way, I hope AC will double down on villagers' personalities, beloved NPCs presence and overall moody feeling. NH had a greater sandbox feeling but almost to an excess (as in it overshadowed other aspects of the game, I do hope we keep that sandox feel in the next entries lol) so I wonder what lessons they'll draw from pokopia.

if anyone has thoughts and opinions abt this I'd love to hear them!

Logistically speaking, let's say as an animal you may not have or have limited hair customization and some face/mask and/or shoe items would no longer be equippable to you, but we'll say you are on par with Isabelle and Tom who wear full outfits and accessories!!

#I think a lot of the game would lose its charm if you played as an animal I love playing as a human #it accentuates the 'uncanny' vibes AC has (or maybe had bc it's more pronounced in earlier entries)#it reallt adds to the atmosphere of living alone far away from your mom #it makes villagers more unique too. if you could be an animal it wouldn't be the same idk idk

today is a great day to remember that all the BIN files for amiibo can be found online and that with a app like tagmiibo or similar and some cheap nfc sticker tags you too can access all the new collab content in acnh and also whatever villager you want without buying expensive plastic :)
