Reimagined Wishing Gown, Cocktail Dress Edition

Finally got a chance to take pictures of a passion project of mine, which was bringing one of my favorite (and ready to wear!) reimagined Wishing designs. 

It’s shown here with a crinoline underskirt I made because I did envision it as having a very tapered waist and volume in the skirt, as inspired by the popular silhouette of cocktail dresses in the 50s and 60s. It can also easily be worn without it for a more casual look because I anticipated needing the dress to be versatile in when/where it can be worn.

Harry reverently adding the Chamber of Secrets to the Marauder’s Map, proudly continuing his family’s work and reveling in the difference they’re making. 

These students - these kids - choosing to train in a dark, horrifying place that was never meant for them. Learning spells amongst shadows, growing stronger in inches of murky water, the smell of a decomposing corpse in their noses, memories of all that had happened here haunting them. They know this is what war is really like and it helps to push them forward.
