A story where Damian "Demon Spawn" Wayne is systematically thwarted by Luka's ultra-competently protective girlfriend Marinette "Ladybug" Dupain-Cheng? It would a hilarious trainwreck that would be wonderful to read. ^_^

Made all the better that none of them figure out anyone else's identities. So the Batfamily is actually kind of glad that they have a normal kid for once. A normal kid with normal kid issues who is a normal kid and not anything else.

Cue hilarious contradictory imagery...

Of Batfamily doing vigilante work while Luka is in his room sleeping.

Of Batman interrogating a criminal while Luka is playing his guitar.

Of Damien fighting while Luke is on a phone call with his girlfriend.

Of Dick and Tim fighting mooks back to back while Luka is doing homework.

Of Jason just punching some guy while Luka is reading a book.

Then they get home and recover from their nightly escapades and think, man, it's a good thing Luka isn't part of any heroism work...

...meanwhile in Paris, Luka is helping Ladybug and Chat Noir fight a giant akuma crab.

Another Miraculous Crossover Nobody Wanted

(Clear throat)

Hear me out.

Miraculous Ladybug/Batfamily Bio Dad au.

But with a twist!

This time, Bruce Wayne isn't Marinette's biological father.

...he's Luka's.

Now imagine, if you would, that through some some unknown means, one or more members of the Batfamily find out that Bruce Wayne has another biological son in France. This wouldn't be so bad, except that one of the ones who finds out is none other than Damien.

Damien Wayne, who was raised as an assassin, struggles understanding what is "socially appropriate", has pride issues, and up until now has felt secure in his place within the family on the basis of being the Batman's only "true" son.

So he takes it upon himself to "challenge" this potential usurper. He would "test" this Luka Couffaine and prove that he couldn't possibly be a true son of the Bat!

Only problem is that his attempts to test Luka...keep going wrong.

Particularly whenever some weird pig-tailed girl in pink is around.

He tries to throw one of his projectiles at Luka to test his sensory ability and reflexes. The girl trips into Luka and causes them both to be moved out of the way just in time.

He tries again. The girl grabs Luka to pull him over to observe some silly poster!

He tries to put something in Luka's food to judge his tolerance or see if he will notice. The girl spills the dish and ruins the whole thing!

And he could swear she knows he's there!

Then when he attempts an ambush in the middle of the night when Luka is alone and away from that girl, she STILL shows up in a leather suit and helmet to ambush HIM instead!

Clearly there can only be one explanation for this...

That girl must be a member of the League of Shadows sent to target Luka Couffaine as some sort of mission!

He returns to Gotham to reveal this conspiracy to his family.

But it's too late. Luka has already been notified of Bruce Wayne being his father and has come for a visit.

With the girl in tow.

The girl who is...glaring at Damien.

A lot.

Damien: See? She's evil!

Tim: Maybe she just doesn't like you? Like any rational person would?

Jason: To be fair, you're not exactly the easiest person to get along with.

Tim: Well, I mean...it's possible? Just because we can't find any link between her and the League doesn't mean she's not with them. Who is this "Master Fu" guy anyway?

Jason: Are you serious? She's like a little pixie! She doesn't look like she has it in her to hate anyone!

Damien: Well why else would she dislike me?

Dick Grayson, who has had superhero girlfriends before and seems to have figured out what's going on: Damien, maybe she's mad at you because you keep crashing her dates to try to attack her boyfriend?

Damien: ...don't be absurd! Clearly she's an assassin!

(The others don't look convinced.)

Damien: (Looks to Marinette)

Marinette: (Glaring at Damien)

Luka: (Turns to look at Marinette)

Marinette: (Bright smiles and sweetness)

Luka: (Looks away)

Marinette: (GLARING AT DAMIEN)

Boys: ...

Jason: Damien, what the hell did you DO?

Damien: How is this MY fault?!

Jason: You're the one she's glaring at!

Dick: (Sighs and shakes head) Oh boy.

In life news, I am VERY close to actually finishing the rough draft of my original novel, and looking towards editing and publishing.

And I have a TERRIBLE feeling that since it includes queer stuff and a poly romance, it won't be palatable to mainstream publishers, though I am poking around for indie houses that might be open to that. I am absolutely unwilling to cut either the queer or poly stuff, I'm not doing a love triangle.

Which means I've been poking my nose around investigating various self publishing stuff... @thebibliosphere you've been a huge help here, inadvertently...and am biting glass at the fact that the royalties at Amazon are simply so, SO much better than anywhere else.

yeah, it’s… yeah. Shockingly, they allow me to earn more on paperbacks as well as ebooks compared to Ingram, which are currently trying to get me to put the paperbacks up to almost $30 or else I’ll be earning 50 cents per book. Again. (So I guess I’ll be earning 50 cents a book again soon because I refuse to increase the price again for the fourth year in a row.)

If you look into selfpub through draft2digital, the rates across the board for wider distribution while a tiny bit lower, are comparable. The broader access to the market helps offset distribution fee losses, as dos access to library lending.
