I don't have too much to say as I plan to move on. I am saddened the show seems to be taking a different turn as it relates to Buck and Tommy. A spark in me will still have hope, maybe one day. Until then, I just wanted to add this to the ethos and brand it in cyber stone...

Tommy will always be Bobby approved!

Tommy has always been special and connected to the 118 family. This is why the interactions in "Bobby Begin Again" makes it one of my favorite episodes. Tommy was there from day one, it meant something seeing him there among the others to help carry Bobby on his final journey. In a flashback, we saw Tommy save Bobby's life, his aid saved Eddie's life (plane water drop), he helped to save Bobby's life again (along with many others) and then, returned the favor to Chimney by helping to save his life in the lab.

All those things happened, they were not fanfic nor someone's head-canon, it all happened. And nothing will ever change that. In fact, S7xE9, no other love interest will ever receive that warm smile and the privilege of having Bobby's verbal approval when dating his mentoring-son, Buck.

Thank you Bobby. As a "day one" 911 fan and BuckTommy supporter, I will always remember what you genuinely said to Buck in that episode, "Tommy is good people, he's good for you".

i just saw a new ship poll for buddie this time and whatever. but one of the reasons i stopped giving a fuck about them, platonically or romantically, was the show did too good a job giving eddie a life.

he was out of la. he was reconnecting with his family. he was making friends (rideshare lady who told him how to do his job where are you). he had a prospective new crew and quirky new captain. he was rebuilding a house!

yeah, he was facetiming la on the regular, but he had his own shit going on and he was making it work. in the meantime buck had happily made the house his own. after a bumpy adjustment period they were literally fine? i just don't see this inexorable, everyone has them clocked, unbreakable love for the ages.
