No, I didn’t say I don’t want to listen to what you have to say. I love being called thick, and hearing you tell me what I’m doing even though I know exactly what I’m doing obviously changes my mind. An Eye for an Eye || Louis + Zoe
Zoe was almost always excited to have company over, especially when this was the first time they were coming over, but she didn’t feel the need to get too excited because it was only Louis; of course she cleaned the place up quite a bit and shoved blow-up mattresses into closets, but there was no need to get all dressed up for him. The brunette wasn’t wearing much makeup to begin with, so she decided that instead of doing her entire daily routine, she would just touch up her eyebrows and separate her lashes after already having her skin primer, foundation, and concealer already applied. She let her ombre locks cascade less than gracefully down her back and chest. She wore a grey tank top, having tiered layers leading to the hem of her jean shorts, something she rarely wore but had started wearing recently. She put her hat on her head to avoid any harmful sunrays since she rarely applied sun block anywhere but her face, and sat on the porch, waiting for any sign of Louis’ arrival.
The only people she’d had over at the new house were Joe and a few of her friends from YouTube who had decided that they’d rather stay with her than be alone. Zoe enjoyed having company around the house, especially since it was quite big for one person, which only magnified her feelings of loneliness. However, she tossed those feelings aside and tried to paint a happy portrait of herself for the people who watched her every mood, since she was known as being “too perfect.” Once you were labeled as perfect, it was hard to shake yourself away from it or even put a dent in your reputation without destroying the whole thing, so instead of ruining it, Zoe faked it. Faking it was her way of survival and it was her way of making it by in the world, and who was anyone to tell her that her way of just getting by was deceitful to others who had no right to be lied to in the first place? Once again, she tried to shake the sad, lonely thoughts from her mind, her only focus being to make Louis happier than he had appeared to be when they spoke last.
Louis was actually excited to get out of the house and do something that wasn't involving his family or his job. Lately he was feeling worn down and he just wanted a break. He was going to call up a spa to get a massage but when Zoe said that she would do it, he couldn't refuse. He would be able to save money and well, actually talk to someone he would say he was close to. Louis would also have to massage her as well, but he wasn't going to be complaining. He was told that he was quiet good at it, so, why not.
Getting off of his couch, the brunet decided that he really did not need to dress up for Zoe, he didn't need to impress her at all. He showered that morning so there was no need for that, throwing on a jumper, and his shoes, he was out of the door. Once he was in the car, he remembered that Zoe said she would stay out there and wait for him. He had been shit with directions all his life, but he didn't want to forget and drive past. His mind was everywhere and he didn't need to get lost. The ride to her house wasn't that long, or at least it didn't seem that long. He saw Zoe sitting outside of her house. Parking his car on the curb, he got out and waved over at his friend. Making his way towards her on the porch, "Hey Zoey!" he mumbled out, hoping that she couldn't see the dark circles under his eyes.
