hi! it’s Jay, I’m a black, disabled nonbinary lesbian. i just escaped to a shelter (we get our own space) with my sister who is trans and disabled. We are looking for an apartment but desperately need money. I’m going through dialysis bc my kidneys are failing so we don’t have time to go out and get groceries/necessities. One of the biggest things we need is an Instacart subscription to order food and necessities.
Here is a list of things that we need:
Food
Clothes
Furniture money for when we get our place
First and last months rent
Food, litter and a few toys for our newly adopted cat
Money for when I’m at my dialysis and my sister quickly needs to grab something from a fast food place
Enough to keep our phones and hydro running
We are working on getting my sister on disability but so far they’ve rejected here, so for now I’ll need help to pull her half of everything together

It sounds like the decision to overturn Roe v. Wade will drop tomorrow. If you're going to hit the streets, good for you, but also be careful babes. They're going to be ready for you. Go with a buddy/buddies, leave phones home if possible, don't overdo it in the heat, bring water, cover up all identifying features if you're gonna get spicy, remember that while cops are distracted where most of the protesters are, they're not gonna be able to stop you from striking elsewhere. Stay safe fuck the police.

For everyone at home, whatever you do, do not share any photos of the protest. Support people, say it’s happening, keep an eye out for necessary fundraising. However, can confirm that cops AND businesses with private security are starting to swarm and digging for information as we speak. Luckily, they do not have much information on Jane’s Revenge right now. (That’s one of the keywords they’re trawling, FYI.) We can keep it that way if we remind ourselves and others that OPSEC is vital. No matter how much I see people saying ‘never post pics’, I always see pics on here. ive always been advocating for violence but now more than ever, yes
is it wrong of me to bring up that white women uphold patriarchy and white supremacy to better themselves and move up the ladder? I feel like I need to say this before people start saying "men are controlling women's bodies" because it's not just women's bodies being controlled and it is not just men who have had a hand in this.
you cannot remove racism and white supremacy from this conversation it will not undermine the feminist movement or anything else. but it is one of the driving forces of this happening today

I really think it’s important to keep fat people in mind when talking about reproductive health care. So many birth control options are not as effective on fat people and none of these options are researched enough, either.
Fat people get worse health care in general and are taken less seriously and many surgeons refuse to work with fat people or offer suboptimal care, which puts them at risk when it comes to surgical abortion.
Not even getting into how being fat is tied to conditions that involve having irregular periods, which means noticing a pregnancy later and having reduced, more expensive options for abortion. Just have less empathetic, less considerate health care workers waiting on the other side.
Fat people should not be left out of reproductive health care concerns. This isn’t even getting into how fat people are left out the flip side of reproductive care (ie getting help getting pregnant and being coached about fertility, being discouraged from getting pregnant at all or trying out options like IVF).
Especially when so much fatphobia is based in classism, ableism, and racism and plays into mortality rates. Like these are vital discussions to be had and they are all connected.

And democrats this whole time have been twiddling their fingers being “neutral” about every fucking thing and NOW they wanna tell us “these aren’t ur grandparents republicans!! There appear to be troll/anti-abortion blogs posting self abortion advice that will get people killed. Posts sending people to religious fanatics instead of legitimate info resources. Posts advocating avoiding real medical assistance in favor of self harm and more.
We have all seen the reality-shredding lies that got this country where it is today, and you can expect them to continue, taking advantage of panic and fear as always to harm us.
Do research. Find resources you trust. Talk to people you trust. But for the love of god:
