ムクドリを見ると、

白塗りメイクに見えるからか、バンドKISSが思い浮かびます。

ゆる～いオマージュイラストを描きました🕊️

いつも害鳥呼ばわりされてしまうムクさん。

人間はどうなんだい!?とシャウトしているイメージです🤘

実際、たくさん集まると大合唱していますね...

White-cheeked starlings always remind me of KISS, so I made this homage illustration 🕊️

They are so often dismissed as pest birds in Japan. So, they're shouting, "What about humaaans?!” 🤘

Actually when they gather in large numbers, they break into a huge chorus...

オオバンの弁足もよう / Eurasian Coot’s Lobed-Feet Patterns

オオバンの弁足をとりもように🕊️

弁足が葉っぱみたいで、とてもユニークで面白いです☺️

弁足で色々遊んでみました🪽

I created a pattern with the Eurasian coot’s lobed feet 🕊️

Their feet look almost like leaves, which is so unique and fascinating ☺️

I had fun experimenting with different ways to use this distinctive shape 🪽

オオバンずくめ / Full of Eurasian Coot

沢山のオオバンで埋め尽くされたとりもように🕊️

たくさん集まると黒ずくめの怪しい雰囲気になるので、POPな色合いにしました🫶

I created a pattern filled with lots of Eurasian coots 🕊️

When so many of them gather together, they can look a little dark and mysterious, so I gave them a bright and colorful pop-style look 🫶

オオバンと足跡 /  Eurasian Coot and Footprints

オオバンと足跡をとりもように🕊️

オオバンの足は、冬は鉛色、夏は黄緑色に変化する個体がいるようです👀

冬版と夏版の２パターンあります🪽

I created a pattern with the coot and its footprints 🕊️

Some Eurasian coots change the color of their feet depending on the season—lead gray in winter and yellow-green in summer 👀

You can see a colour variation version 🪽

オオバン / Eurasian Coot 

初めてオオバンを見た時、

こんなオシャレな鳥が身近にいるんだと感動しました。

オオバンの足を見て、さらにビックリ。

コロンとしたボディ、おしゃれな額板、奇妙な足、そしてニンマリ笑ってるような表情もたまりません☺️

When I first saw a Eurasian coot, I was amazed to discover such a stylish bird living nearby. And its feet surprised me even more!

So I wanted to capture that sense of wonder and surprise in these illustrations ☺️

うたうキビタキ / Narcissus Flycatcher Singing in Green Bokeh

木漏れ日の中で、美しい声でうたうキビタキを描きました🕊️

玉ボケを背景にして、少しロマンチックに。

この季節、キビタキの美しいさえずりを聴くと癒されますね🪽

オスの華やかな色もメスの味わい深い色もどちらも好きです☺️

I captured a Narcissus Flycatcher singing beautifully in the dappled sunlight 🕊️

With green bokeh in the background, I gave it a slightly romantic feel 🫶

コウライウグイスと松葉 / Black-naped Oriole & Pine Needles

旅鳥のコウライウグイスに出会えた嬉しさと美しさを表したく、イラストを描きました🎨

トロピカルな見た目と独特な鳴き声で、一瞬でトリコになりました。

松の木が好きなようで、松林の中で美しくさえずっていました。

またいつか出会える時を楽しみにしています☺️

I was so lucky to spot this Black-naped Oriole in Japan! So I drew this illustration to capture just how beautiful it looked 🕊️

オオルリと青もみじ / Blue-and-white Flycatcher and Green Maple Leaves

爽やかな青もみじの木に、 美しい青色のオオルリがとまっていた姿が印象的だったので、イラストを描きました🕊️

色鮮やかな夏鳥を見ると、目も心も癒されますね☺️

A beautiful Blue-and-white Flycatcher resting in the fresh green maple leaves inspired me to create this illustration.

These colorful summer birds are always so soothing. 🪽

キクイタダキと菊と松 / Goldcrest, Chrysanthemum, and Pine

先日会ったキクイタダキの可愛さが忘れられず、イラストを描きました🕊️

キクイタダキのトレードマークである菊の花と、 生息場所の松のモチーフを組み合わせて「とりもよう」に。

冬になると平地の針葉樹でも会える、日本最小の鳥です。

ぜひ双眼鏡で観察してみてください！☺️

In Japan, the goldcrest is called “Kikuitadaki.”

Its name comes from the yellow crest on its head (males have some orange mixed in), which resembles a chrysanthemum flower (kiku in Japanese).

I created a pattern using motifs of the kikuitadaki, chrysanthemum (kiku), and pine.

マガンのV字飛行 / V-shaped Flight of White-fronted Geese

夕日を背景に、マガンがV字飛行している様子を描きました🦆

実際に見ると、迫力があって感動しますね。

ガンカモ達がどんどん北へ帰っていくのを見ると、少し寂しくなりますが、春がやってくる嬉しさもあります🌸
