Inspired by this post and this narumitsu comic
just finally finished my hxh 2011 rewatch along with media club plus. great time, def recommend, etc. but what im thinking now is things like "this is like the ending of mgs4 in that the protagonists dad shows up and talks for a really long time and i need to kill him" and "i feel like my understanding of yuugo kuga really blossomed when i was like ohhhh hes kind of like if ging freecs decided to raise his son, isnt he."
"i never could say no to you" is one of my favourite phrases in the entire english language because it's so casually cruel. even when it's spoken fondly or lightheartedly there's this dismissive implication of blame to it, like twisting a knife. whatever happens next is on your hands. i want you to know that i betrayed and destroyed myself for you.
INTERPRETATION: Yuma and Hyuse Ch 210
This is going to be the most sincere and unironic World Trigger post I’ve ever made but this panel instantly floored me when I read it and I need to express my thoughts about it immediately. I feel like you can extrapolate a lot from this, not only about Yuma and Hyuse but also about the other agents and Border as a whole. My personal analysis on the Border combat system & it’s effects on the agents under the cut! Be warned, it's very long.

TRUTH. What you need is imagination, and you don’t need to go anywhere to use it.
Yeah, sure, seeing new things is helpful as a fantasy writer. But. Don’t make the mistake of assuming that exposure to new things is the same as traveling. You know what else exposes you to new things? The internet. Documentaries. Books. Freaking Youtube. So when you’re bored of cats and cooking tutorials, go on an adventure!
You wanna write create some fantasy creatures but don’t know where to start? Go check out some videos The Weird Creatures Earth has Had.
Want some inspiration for your Super Evil Villain’s Villanous Deeds?
Or maybe you want some weird locations to kick start your Fantasy World Terraforming?
Or maybe you need knowledge of bunches of historical places and cities and cultures?
But maybe you’re basing fantasy on the modern world?
Okay but lets say you want to start from the same inspiration as GRRM? (and part two!)
That’s just the stuff I could quickly grab. Things I’m subscribed to, that I know offhand. There is So. Much. Stuff. Online.
The best thing about the internet is that it means its not just the fortunate sons that get to learn, and explore and imagine and write. We get to see stories from all over the place, from all sorts of people, who bring All Kinds of New Ideas.
I like you.
the final round - 「we win.」
“Every Pokemon is someone’s favourite” I’m making a spreadsheet to see if this is true. Reblog with your favourite Pokemon in the tags.
Here’s the spreadsheet in-progress
Ok, mother of GOD that's a lot of responses and I am but one man with Excel. I'll update these ASAP but also some rules:
A Pokemon only counts for itself, not its evolution line.
A Pokemon with multiple forms (like Zygarde) will only be counted for the specified form. A Pokemon with multiple appearances (like Spinda, Vivillon, Sylvally, etc.) count for all their appearances.
I'm literally doing this as a testament to my own depression that not everyone is lovable, so add that to the weight of this post's meaning.
after the latest chapter I became possessed by a force that compelled me to make this (yuzuru, probably)
wip... except idk if ill ever work on it again so yeah. maybe not a wip
Figure studies (feat. World Trigger)
I've been casually enjoying World Trigger lately. Although 70+ episodes of season 1 was quite the torture treatment.
Enjoy (?) these sketches.
Something I find interesting is that despite being a bit of a classically cynical foil, Olruggio is a much simpler, more earnest character than Qifrey.
And that’s why he’s the GOAT.
Chapter 86
This is one of my favorite scenes and it’s very understated. It reveals so much about Osamu’s values and strength, telling the powerful head of his organization that he’ll never forgive him if he uses his teammates for a ploy.
Yet, he completely understands and even allows himself to be thrown under the bus if it’s necessary.
What’s even better is Kido’s response:
He didn’t have to ask after Osamu’s well-being, he didn’t have to give him the space to respond to being used as a pawn. And he certainly didn’t have to let Osamu know that he had allies in Border Admin.
It establishes Kido and Osamu’s dynamic, and the sort of environment Border is.
There’s a greyness to Border where they can lie to the citizenry or falsify records, use memory erasers and yet the power dynamics are balanced by the strength of character those in charge possess.
In the end it’s all for the Sake of Good.
the management of border is one of my fave parts of wortri
my favorite parts of awakening are when they let the kids allude to just how bleak the future was. like yesss tell me more about how you had to stamp down your grief because people were dying and turning faster than you could handle yesssss <333
*tucks my hair behind my ear*
so i've been rewatching the large scale invasion again-
how come its always "why are you guys in the sacrificing yourselves ouroboros again" and never "how was almost dying, did you have fun almost dying"
