Ten years ago, Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr got a divorce. It was a long, nasty, dramatic process. It was eventually settled that Charles would keep the Westchester mansion, Erik the Chicago penthouse, they’d swap the Hamptons summer house every year, and the London townhouse as well as the Italian vacation home would go into a trust for the children. The children would spend the school year with Charles, then would go with Erik during the summer and most holidays.

It was all planned out so meticulously, leaving no t’s uncrossed and no i’s undotted, that Charles and Erik haven’t seen each other even once in the last decade. They never accidentally bumped into each other at a kid’s band concert, or school play, sports game, not even at each high school or college graduation.

Then Alex decides to go and get married, and the family all has to get back together to celebrate his union with Hank McCoy.

everytime i watch this scene i think that out of context it looks like harry is trying to gently reject peter because his feelings for him are unrequited so peter just has to try to shrug it off to alleviate the tension and hide his pain. insane i feel insane they drive me up the wall
