Everyone always talks about what fear entity they'd be most aligned with which I love, but people are always choosing the "cool" ones like the eye or the spiral but honestly?? I think the corruption gets overlooked a lot. You're telling me a bunch of trans neurodiverse people aren't drawn in by the only one that mixes fear with the need for a deep unforgiving love???

Sounding like a broken record on this but I’m also not the #1 buried spokesperson for nothing, YES. Claustrophobia is a pretty bit part of the buried, it’s literal pressure and a tight space. However just like the desolation isn’t just “uh oh fire ):” the buried also has a lot of metaphorical application
It’s a failure to escape. Failure to escape your dead end job as the monotony slowly crushes the life out of you, it’s the failure to escape bad relationships, the failure to escape bad situations or deals in life in general. Like boiling a frog, the waters “fine” so why jump out.
It’s the pressure of needing to perform, always, always, always. Most neurodivergent people probably relate to “everything is my responsibility and if I don’t do everything perfectly I’ll just fucking die” while having still more responsibility placed on you because you’re “doing so well”
It’s Atlas with the weight of the world on his shoulders. Forever crushed beneath it’s weight and the knowledge that letting go for just a moment would be catastrophic
But yeha, hopefully someone sees this and thinks a little more of the buried, it is so very dear to me (:
