Part 1 | Part 2
Please enjoy this cute sapphic comic about accidentally adopting a werewolf from the pound based on this post. (Except I made it gay.) Meet Sabine and Jazz as they fall in loooove.
If you enjoyed please consider tipping to my Kofi! Comics are a labor of love and tips really really help me out while I'm in school!
Find this and my other comics on Tapas, Once Upon a Meet Cute!
Adobe is going to spy on your projects. This is insane.
For general graphics: use GIMP For vector graphics: use Inkscape For drawing and illustration: use Krita For print and web publishing and design: use Penpot For PDF authoring: use LibreOffice For PDF reading and form filling: use Okular
All are free, open source and cross-platform. None use AI.
Reblog for everyone
friends don't let friends use GIMP. use photopea
Gonna pop my favorite reference for Adobe alternatives here, lovingly compiled and updated by xDanielArt since at least 2020:

i don't really like it when western mythological terms are applied haphazardly to essentially unrelated ideas. this is a completely lost battle but a lĂłng is really not a dragon, it is its own thing with only surface level similarities
i especially dislike many works that try to fold all sorts of different mythologies into a single consistent schema because they tend to heavily privilege western conceptions in doing so- see 'dragonology' books twisting basically every mythical reptilian under the sun into the mould of 'a species of dragon', implicitly centring the beowulf-style firebreather as the default from which all other mythologies derive, or basically anything that does worldwide vampire bloodlines
relatedly a qĂlĂn is not a unicorn, a fĂšnghuĂĄng is not a phoenix, and a jiÄngshÄ« is not a vampire, and it can impede understanding when they're approached from the standpoint of being the 'chinese version' of these concepts from western myth
today's reason I fucking love the open source community: Ageless Linux, a brand new Debian-based operating system specifically designed to break the law by giving children access to computers that explicitly refuse to track their age.
reblog this post to help a child break the law
oh goddamn this whole page goes so hard actually, please go read it. what an impressive, visceral takedown of this dumb law
Here's a source for the analysis, but it probably is not the source.
Workersâ share of US economic output has fallen to its lowest level since the government began keeping records in 1947, according to data th
Some points of interest:
Corporate profits are soaring. After taxes, they now take 12.3 percent of national output, far above their postwar average of 7.3 percent.
Adjusted for inflation, hourly wages have risen 3 percent since the end of 2019, Ip noted. Corporate profits over the same period have risen 50 percent.
The Economic Policy Institute calculates that since 1979 the productivity of American workers has grown 90 percent while the pay of the typical worker has grown 33 percent. Had wages tracked output, the average worker would earn $16.40 more an hour today.
The profits are concentrated among the largest corporations. Earnings at the 500 biggest US firms rose 28 percent in the first quarter from a year earlier, the fastest pace since 2021, and their profit margins reached 14.8 percent. The seven technology giants known as the âMagnificent 7ââApple, Microsoft, Nvidia, Alphabet, Amazon, Meta and Teslaâgrew their profits 63 percent.
In the United States, the richest 1 percent of households hold 31.7 percent of all wealth. The bottom half hold barely 2.5 percent.

This is the second poster for the Meliorazine. I must be honest: this didnât come out exactly as I envisioned it, so I donât love it, but I hope you like it anyway.
I love your "they ring the same bells for weddings and funerals" tag bc I work as a bell-ringer at one of the few churches in my city where you still have to ring the bell manually. and we do ring the same bell whether it's a wedding or a funeral! but âïž we also ring it if the local sports team wins at sports (the secret third thing that is neither a wedding nor a funeral)
the three universal human experiences: love, death, and sports
I can't have been the only one to think of this, right?

The new Odyssey adaptation has inevitably gotten people talking about a Muppet version of it, and theyâre frequently suggesting Kermit as Odysseus, Miss Piggy as Penelope.
Iâm sorry but thatâs thinking way too small, hear me out:
We need to have Miss Piggy as Odysseus, and Kermit as Penelope.
Think about it⊠whoâs the more fickle, prideful, warlike one in that relationship? Who is absolutely ready to go ham, at a momentâs notice?
It ainât Kermit
Miss Piggy tied to the mast while Statler and Waldorf heckle her from the sea
But who is the single human cast member in this tale? Who gets to put in an Oscar-worthy performance alongside the Muppets and what role are they to play?
Thereâs no single human, everyone is a Muppet except for one scene. Circe, played by Janice, turns Odysseusâs crew into humans who still behave animalistic and are all played by Academy Award winning actors.
