Dear Critical Role Production Team,

You are sitting on a veritable GOLD MINE of content that should be part of your Beacon exclusive lineup, like yesterday.

After a pretty much perfect 4-Sided Dive, starring ultimate fangirls and voices of so many in the fandom- Aabria Iyengar & Aimee Carrero- the gears started slowly churning away in my head.

Give these ladies a monthly podcast! Call it "Critical Tea" and, with the assistance of the beautiful and ever-present Dani Carr (filling in for Cadeucus as Tea Master), they can bring on various guests and gush about everything that drives the fandom wild. Bonus points if you have Cadeucus voice overs for tea related stuff.

Collect fan-submitted questions, theories, and art for the show. Give them a big conspiracy board with red yarn so they can discuss everything.

They can keep track of random things. Is Vax still an orb? How much party gold do they think Chetney actually still has in his possession? Campaign couple/shipping vibe checks using a different unit of rating each episode based on some joke earlier in the podcast. Bonus points if they pull two party members randomly from a tea kettle and rate their current opinions on the possible shipping between them.

Think of the merch possibilities. Representing the tea company you've licensed with, if they'd like to be a sponsor for specific episodes.

We need to spill the Critical Tea.

Throw a big old disclaimer about nothing in the show being canon, the ladies just want to gush about whatever moments in Critical Role history need fangirled over with whatever cast member, former guest star, or famous friend wants to join them at the couches for Critical Tea. Oh, and Omar cameos.

I actually learned a fun therapy trick for this!

The statute of limitations on arson is 6 years.

So whenever I remember an embarrassing or shameful thing I’ve done, I ask myself if it was worse than arson. If it wasn’t, and it was 6 or more years ago, I forgive myself.

Also just the comedic shock of going “well, that was a stupid and mean thing I said, but 6 years is the statute of limitations on arson” helps.

Yes but the idea that the AI actually has the capability to change the emails is idiotic. We've had to deal with annoying bullshit authenication for years in the name of security and the robot should not be able to change shit. Welding steel security bars over all the windows and then installing a massive unguarded glass door type scenario. They *have* teams in charge of security, it is ridiculous that a robot could do this.

Until proven otherwise I'm gonna assume that the hackers claiming this are pulling a prank and doctoring this because I am not ready to face a world this stupid.

They HAD teams in charge of this. Meta has fired thousands upon thousands of employees and are actively letting AI write a lot of their coding now. It's all so interconnected code-wise that this is 100% possible.

People keep breaking AI service chat bots by inputting strings of code into the boxes and most of those people aren't even the types of hackers that companies typically worry about, just people who are vandalizing AI because they don't like it.

A high quality “expensive” pair of shoes is one of the thriftiest ways to spend over $100 because if you have good shoes it reduces stress on literally every joint in your body. Please do not ever thrift-OCD yourself into wearing bad shoes

I have to give the hardest possible plug for Orthofeet here. My fiancée introduced me to this company when I was lamenting the fact that it feels difficult to find orthopedic shoes that aren’t kinda fugly and unfashionable. These are some of the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever worn and for both pairs I own there was very minimal breaking-in needed, they were just comfortable right out of the box. I walked around a ren faire with hills and uneven terrain for several hours in these ankle boots and I felt about the same level of tired I’ve felt after walking around in sneakers all day.

They’re not cheap shoes, but almost all of them are under $150 and it’s 100% a worthwhile investment. They have a pretty generous wear testing policy—you can wear them up to 60 days and still get a full refund if you don’t like them. There’s also lots of different styles so there’s kinda something for everyone.

it's also worth looking into Morton's Foot! And if you have it, then I definitely recommend purchasing some of the ProKinetics insoles, which you can put into Literally Any Pair Of Shoes, and/or swap between multiple pairs of shoes depending on which pair you feel like wearing that day

bonus info

1) the ProKinetic insoles might not play well with those Orthofeet shoes, so be wary of that!

2) ProKinetics actually swears by shoes like Converse being the best shoes for their Insoles! just saying

3) if you don't want to pay 80$ for some insoles (that you can then put in shoes you already own, btw,) you can just get some moleskin (like a 5$ purchase) to put on your shoes' Already Present insole like so and see if that helps - if it does, then consider making the purchase

4) definitely poke around the Morton's Foot site (mortonsfoot.com) so they can explain some of the science to you on why the insoles help. I like this page.

I like Aetrex shoes and insoles similarly, and I always get the green Superfeet insoles for hiking boots.

Also, once you've gone and spent money on good, supportive shoes, take good care of them! Shoe polish is cheap and a tin of it lasts forever and will keep your leather shoes looking nice longer when they inevitably acquire scuffs. And use a shoe horn!!! It's just a cheap piece of plastic, but it will save the heel ends of your shoes from getting smashed into uselessness. I've been wearing my favorite boots near daily for four years so far and they still look good and fit well.

So after the grad student cut down the tree and discovered it was the oldest tree in the world he quit studying forestry and went to study salt flats (can’t cut down the oldest trees in the world on salt flats no siree none of that happening) and he was being interviewed about his research, but in the middle of the interview the reporter just stops and says “wait aren’t the guy that…”

And he just takes off running. Literally. Turns around and runs across the salt flats away from the interview and I feel so bad for him but I can’t help but start crying I’m laughing so hard about it imagine a guy high tailing it across salt flats away from a dude with a recorder
