Thought Dump

Recently, I have been going back into researching conspiracies, secret societies, spirituality, etc. it all ties together.

Currently, I'm reading The Secret Teachings of All Ages by Manly P. Hall. It's been going through some early living cults, beginning freemasonry, early shamanism and all the things that tie up with these items. I've found that this author wrote MANY things in his time and I'm tempted to go through and read all of it.

Partly what got me back on this journey is reading the book The Secret History by Donna Tartt. The main character, Richard, becomes entangled with some shifty stuff in his ancient Greek class, which references tidbits of ancient philosophy... and now I'm here.

If anyone has any thoughts, recommendations, or anything they would like to share, please do!!! I'm looking for people who are as curious as I am :)

My experience with secret societies

When I was a little kid growing up in Raytown, MO, I would be driven past a Masonic Lodge all the time. It's still there, has been for decades, and ever since I saw the logo on the building I've been curious about it. I'd ask my grandma what it was and she would always tell me she didn't know, but you don't just have a random, all brick building with no windows in the middle of the roads and not know about it.

After going through and reading about ancient masonic rites, I started to remember all the times I saw this building, so I looked it up. Of course, there isn't much on the website, just some pictures of yearly coronations and a way to apply for membership and ways to recommend "good men" to sign up for this fraternity.

This lead my thinking to Shriners (yeah, the people from Shriners Circus), whom my aunt used to work for and help with meetings, though she was never allowed in. No women were ever allowed in the room for these meetings. It was always for the brotherhood only.

My family (me, my mother and brother) got into some really rough financial situations because my brother was really ill and needed surgery. Of course, we couldn't afford these things, but the Shriners and Masonic lodge of our town actually stepped in, paid for my brother's surgery/medical equipment, as well as helped us pay for other expenses during this time. As a child, it was explained to me that these groups were very important and needed to be appreciated.

But of course, as I grew, I heard all this random, shady stuff about the Masons, Shriners, Illuminati, etc, about how it is all tied together. With having personal ties, I have always wanted to explore these avenues. The more I read and hear, the more curious I become. I'm always looking for sources to learn more.

If any one has any recommendations, please send them to me!! I'd be super grateful :)

I took a science course in college in like... 2002 (shit, college was a long time ago), where the professor said more-or-less the same thing except he claimed that while earth, water and air were about the phases of matter, "fire" was their way of describing energy.

I always take issue with that. The platonic elements do not have room for energy. They literally thought that fire was a physical substance. Also, people forget that the ancient Greeks observed plasmas all the time. Lightning is a pretty normal thing to see.

Imo, the proto-idea of chemical energy wasn't developed until islamicate alchemists introduced the idea of Sophic sulphur.

so the thing about my family is that we have two ancestors on my dad’s side who were buried in france, where I currently live. one died in the spanish civil war, and one died prior doing…we don’t know what. but he somehow managed to get buried in père lachaise. 

so anyhow, my gran sends me a message like “pls put flowers on ur uncle samuel’s grave because he’s gone over a century with none and it will make the ghost mad if he hasn’t already” because my family spends time in europe but never long enough to go all the way to père lachaise and give ya boy samuel jr. his death rites. so im like “ok gran I can do that” bc im a good grandson and you do not fuck with gran she doesn’t DESERVE THAT 

i figure out which plot he’s on and ask someone specifically where you can find uncle samuel jr. and they tell me where and so I arrive at the junction and. 

HE GONE. 

WHERE DID YOU GO UNCLE SAMUEL.
